Just recently stumbled across your youtube channel. I was searching for various workouts to target muscle groups. I've trolled many youtube channels for some time and I have to say yours is the best in my opinion. Its just simple and straight to the point. I'm not a bodybuilder, just maintaining overall health and fitness, but these workouts are great for maintaining muscle fitness.

finally someone who knows what they're actually talking about. Everything this guy is saying is straight out of my anatomy and medicine classes. Loving how you are able to explain, with clarity i might add, the different origin and insertion pints of each muscle, and how that relates to working each particular muscle in a certain way. well done champ i've just watched all your videos and look forward to future ones yet to be released. These videos are perfect. Well spoken, and clearly well educated. Thanks!

Hey James! I really want to thank you for this video. I had surgery for scoliosis when I was 14. I've had a hard time over the past decade gaining strength back once all the muscles got moved around and stuff from the surgery. Over time, I've figured stuff out on my own and have a pretty solid workout going for it, but I've NEVER found a video this helpful. Like I said, I REALLY appreciate it. I look forward to the next one.

Great videos, I just started watching your video for a week or two, great explanation with the skeleton and how each muscle works. And you are able to provide different workout option of buildup the specific muscle for each video. That is great for me as I use the TRX at home rather than going to the gym, so I can alter my workup with the TRX to do a workout for a specific muscle.

I recently discover you through bodybuilding.com then found your youtube channel.Your personal story Hit home for me as I too was injury in a car crash when a kid Texting slammed into me at 50 mph I was at a dead stop blowing three disc in my neck and separating my ac joint. As I started to heal my doctor told me I should start working out to build muscle at that time 2 1/2 short yrs ago I weight a 132 pounds at 5'8" today I'm 160 at 10% body fat. At first I had a lot of trouble as I had not a clue as to what I was doing. Then I found bodybuilding then Jim Stoppani. Then I learned the importance of nutrients and proper form and mind muscle. Its the mind muscle that gave me the most trouble and for the most part I've made some good strides in that area, but now that I have found your channel and using the things i have learned from your videos i Am killing it in the gym.My back and chest workouts have been the best I have ever felt. Your video are helping me get to the next level. At the end of the year I will be doing my first men's physique competition at 47 years old.I was thinking I would be competitive and hoped I might place and now that I've found your videos and techniques I'm going to crush them.So to make this long story short. Thank you Jim Anderson.

Super informative video as always, James. Just thought to clear something up, when the latissimus Dorsi pulls the arms from the front of your body down to your side (as it would during a cable pullover for your lats), it would be called shoulder extension not shoulder flexion. Anyways, just an observation. I've been learning so much from these videos. Keep it up! 👌🏼💯

Hey James.. First time watcher.. I subscribed to ur channel. Great videos man! I kind of got confused w ur ribbon explanation. But I got it.. Pretty much explains range of motion.. Where it benefits the most to where is actually not doing anything. Unfortunately I don't have cables to intensify my workout.. I was wondering if there are alternatives to cables. Also didn't see any back workouts.. Maybe I missed them. I say the extending ur arms. So away from ur body.... Isolates the back? And how many sets and reps? I've been doing this like a sort of super set (any muscle) maybe 2.....8 total sets of 40,30,20,10 and back up. It works for me... I see a difference. Higher weight the lower the reps and vice versa. I want to implement ur workout w the reps.. I really isolate the muscle. Thank you so. Much for ur videos. I know to look awesome as u requires a lot of training and healthy eating... I'm. Working on it, at least try. Looking forward to more of ur videos! I hope I explained myself.

Thank you very much. I train each bodypart just once per week - but I make it count. Training a bodypart twice per week makes it difficult for your body to recuperate and repair - which is where all your growth comes from.

James you are really great... What do you know about winged scapula? Many people say I should work for thickness to cover that problem and avoid as much as possible working out lats. Thank you James 💪
@MrStrike3
@MrStrike3 8 жыл бұрын
Hey Renato, I hope you do not mind if I chime in on the winged scapula issue. Everything I have read and studied points to strengthening the Serratus anterior also known as the boxer muscle. It originates at the ribs 1 through 8 and its insertion point is at the scapula. The serratus pulls the scapula forward around the thorax . There are certain movements you can do to strengthen this muscle which will help with the winged scapula. It is more complex than what I have attempted to explain here. I typically focus on the serratus on my push day with chest and shoulders. I have asked James to cover the serratus anterior, I know he will have some great explanations and proven movements. I hope this was helpful.

Shoulder extension is a function of the Latissimus not flexion. During eccentric contraction of the latissimus the shoulder moves into flexion then shoulder extension for the concentric. The middle fibres of the trapezius are called the middle trapezius. The term medial denotes something closer to the midline of the body.
