I love this for so many different reasons! Lightweight boulders for landscape or you can beef up a water feature for a fraction of the cost. Truly inspirational! Great work ❤

This may be a dumb question but I do a lot of volunteer work in my county with feral cat colonies. I'm also very much a "tinker" at heart and love stuff like this. I was thinking of trying to create a large hollow "boulder" that would ultimately be placed over their outdoor shelters (they are about 2.5 feet tall) with 2 or 3 arched openings about 5 inches tall/wide for them to be able to get in and out. It would help keep their homes disguised and extra coverage from weather elements. Do you think that's something I could "create"? Thanks so much for any thoughts/opinions! I really appreciate it!

Thanks for taking the time to watch my video… Yes, this would work well for your application… after the rock was built, you could insulate the inside of the rock with spray foam, or you could just build the rock with Styrofoam and then carve out the inside leaving enough Styrofoam left to make good insulation.

Thank you for your videos. Will your cardboard faux boulders with 3/4 thick fiber reinforced cement formulation or your faux rocks using 2-3 layers of mud and mesh, support kids climbing on them? Thanks

Thank you for your positive feedback, and the time you took him watching my video. I’m not sure how you would get the fiber in Columbia you have to Google it I guess.. yeah, addition to fiber in mixes is not a new thing and I think it is a worldwide event so there should be a supplier there. Thanks again.

What kind of glue are you spraying on the cardboard?
@fauxrock9 ай бұрын
I generally use 100% acrylic water-based add mixture/Bonding agent that also is an acrylic sealer

Do you have a link on what glue to use?
@fauxrock8 ай бұрын
There are just so many manufacturers that supply this industry, and in parts of the country, you’ll find X product or another part of the country you’ll find Y product. For me, it’s just easier to instruct you on locating 100% acrylic waterborne glue. Usually you’ll find it at Mason Supply stores. Lowe’s and Home Depot carry some but unfortunately unfortunately it’s a acrylic latex which is not what I want to use.
