Those cylindrical power jacks are apparently "Coaxial Power Connectors" or as I've always known them as "barrel jacks". Those airsoft connectors are known as Tamiya connectors, and you seem them in R.C. vehicles and robotics as well. Also I like generous usage of tape, gaffer tape, electrical tape, only I'm surprised no duct tape.

samandniko Did you test the receiver with cell phone charging batteries? I've tried three and none of them work. Could you please try an external cell phone battery to verify that it works and if it does, tell me which one you used?

Did you end up getting it working? My issue I'm having is the output power. According to Nyrius the output must be 5V/2A ... which most charging batteries output is 5V/1A. Therefore my system is under powered. Any solution?
@austingraham9867
@austingraham9867 8 жыл бұрын
+Tina Hoang some usb connectors are cheap and use wiring too small to supply enough amperage from the battery. So get a higher gauge usb connector that can handle a higher amperage and if that doesn't work try a different 5v 2A battery.

Hey samandniko, I was wondering - is it possible to transmit video from an android phone via MHL 3.0 and then rigging it up to a wireless HDMI transmitter to a tablet acting as a field/monitor receiver? I'm doing a video with my Xperia Z2 and wnat to output a live feed to my Xperia Z2 tablet.

all batteries are DC (Direct Current) and all house power is AC (Alternating Current). The "bricks" that you see on a lot of power cables for things like laptops, are only there to transfer AC into DC. Therefore, a battery will always be a little more efficient for powering electronics.

Doesn't the built-in LCD display on the DSLR turn off if I plug in the HDMI cord from the camera to the transmitter? I want to see what I'm shooting, as well as let someone else see wirelessly.
@vitos1k
@vitos1k 10 жыл бұрын
Use 2 displays :) There are Lilliput monitors that has HDMI IN and OUT, so you plug your HDMI out of camera into HDMI IN in monitor, and then connect your HDMI transmiter to the HDMI OUT on the display, and voila you got your oncamera display aswell as remote wireless display. Or if you don't have two hdmi ports on your monitor, you can buy HDMI splitter 1-to-2, this thing costs 50$
