Nice build and something very different. I too have a V5 and these engine can achieve big power being a VR engine. Your work looks epic! Hope you can post a video when the car is on the road. Keep up the good work. 👍

Lovely video. I have a 2002 New Beetle V5, 2.3 L, 20V, AQN motor. Sadly the space there is so tight that not even one more screw fits. Hehe. 😅

Oczywiscie ze mozna. Starsze v8 od audi bardzo dobrze znosza doladowania 0.5 - 0.6 bara bez zadnej ingerencji w uklad tlokowo korbowy wiec kompresor jest swietnym rozwiazaniem szczegolnie gdy wbuduje sie go w kolektor ssacy 👍

Można wiedzieć jakiego przekroju przewód pan użył przy przenoszeniu aku do bagażnika ? Czeka mnie to w audi 80 b4 przy swapie na 1.8t

Ja uzywam tzw "przewod spawalniczy" jesli dobrze pamietam to glowny jest 35 mm² a wszystkie dodatkowe masy sa 25mm². Dla 1.8t mysle ze 25mm² na bezpieczniku 170amp powinno juz wystarczyc.

Jak znudzi mi się 1.8t to wlatuje r5 t lub vr5 t, zastanawiam się tylko czy są różnice w dźwięku funf zyl turbo audi i vr5 turbo vw bo mega mi sie podoba 😍

Część ogladam powstawanie tego projektu od poczatku i cały czas męczy mnie pytanie czy jak robimy tak gruby projekt nie lepiej było znaleźć silnik vr6? Większą moc bardziej rozwojowy? Dzięki za odpowiedz

Nie do konca. Jest kilka powodow dlaczego nie vr6. Vr6 jest duzo na calym swiecie i do audi b5 jest za ciezki i za dlugi, nie bylo by klimatyzacji przez co traci duzo na wartosci, nigdy nie bedzie mial dzwieku nawiazujacego do historycznych 5 cylindrowek, vr5 turbo powstal jak narazie tylko 20v i wyszlo prawie 800hp a 10v turbo jeszcze nie ma w B5 (chyba ze o nim nie wiem) mysle ze vr5 ma identyczny potencjal jak blizniaczy vr6. Oczywiscie wszystko kwestia gustu ale ja biore pod uwage realia ktore wplywaja pozniej na nietypowosc takich projektow co decyduje nie tylko o jego popularnosci ale i o wartosci takiego pojazdu 😉 mam nadzieje ze wytlumaczylem 👍

Prawda jest taka ze 5 cylindrowka ma cos w sobie dzwiek kulture pracy czy to VR czy rzedowka robi robotę, sam jeździe Volvo s60 2.3 t5 250 ps. Naradzie seria ale kto wie co dalej. Gratuluje wiedzy i podziwiam za kawał dobrej roboty. Każdy film to kopalnia wiedzy oby tak dalej dziękuje.

Nice detailed build , well done 👍 . Stock pistons ceramic coated ,good for 1000hp ? I'm thinking about doing a vr5 build , any advice is appreciated ! Any weak stock parts that should be upgraded other than the rods ?

Gas ported + ceramic coating + ring gaps for big boost + balanced with any imperfection removed. Well ... nearly every part need to be modified or replaced.

Yes something like this. You have few available on market and in my opinion best one is cerakote and vht flameproof

Woww this is mind-blowing. I have the same engine, never knew it was 1000hp capable 😶. But why the 10v instead of the 20v?

Because 20v was done before in b5. This is basically same engines like vr6 12v just bit more compact and better for some application when we need something lighter that long vr6 😉

@@rishiwinstonrira7048 talking about 20v i mean 2.3 20v vr5 turbo was done before in audi b5. 20v and 10v are good engines for boost but i think 10v is better for high boost and high revs aggressive application. 20v is better for low boost and nice smooth power delivery.

As I thought. I own the 10v and am also gathering parts for a turbo setup. But I want to keep it moderate...thinking of 1.4bar max boost. Do u think only a spacer plate for lowering compression would be enough for this boost level? And to what compression do I need to lower? Also what engine management are u using or did u do a new software for the stock Ecu? Thanks for the replies.. And can I keep engine internals stock for 1.4bar?

Depending from what turbo you planning get 1.4bar. I have standalone system designed specially for this project. Basically everything in this car is custom made so not many things you can just buy.

I never knew there was a 5-cylinder designed like that. It doesn't seem like it would be a good platform for high hp

Its modified vr6 engine design. From modified vr6 you can make over 1200bhp but for some application vr6 engine is too long and this is where vr5 come handy 👍

Narazie za malo sie dzialo w projekcie zeby cos z tego zmontowac i nie trwalo 5minut. Juz niedlugo bede mogl poswiecic wiecej czasu na vr5 to znowu beda nagrania systematycznie. Jak narazie moze nagram cos o innej tematyce ale tez zwiazane z motoryzacja lub tuningiem.

Zostala nazwijmy to "skradziona" przez dvla czyli taki tutejszy urzad gdzie rejestrujemy pojazdy poniewaz zostala na noc zaparkowana poza moim prywatnym parkingiem garazu a nie bylo road taxu jako ze korzystamy z tzw "trade plate" ktore do tego upowaznia. Nie oplaca sie juz jej odzyskiwac z parkingu bo to 4 krotna wartosc pojazu wiec szukam jakiejs audi tt quattro albo jakiegos lupo albo starej a3 jako samochod pod projekt 1.8t 👍 mysle ze moze nagram jakis vlog zeby wszyscy byli na biezaco co sie dzieje itd bo nie kazdy czyta komentarze.

For pistons, valves, turbo and exhaust manifold i use ceramic pigment in silicone base. Similar to cerakote

You can find it in VW Golf / New Beetle / Bora / Passat and also Seat Toledo. This exactly one what i use is from Passat

Do you know completely standard vr6 12v on alkohol can make over 800hp? So do you think forged and fully balanced to 0.1g and prepared for big boost vr5 engine cant make 1000hp? Think again 😉
