Hey Laura. You just gave me a wonderful flashback. I don’t know if you’re aware, but back in the ‘70s and ‘80s when the big thing was to customize vans and trucks (here in USA), you’d see a bunch of consoles- with tambour! And of course, wall to wall shag carpet. No thanks. Anyway, when I got my first truck in the 80s it had a bench seat and, believe it or not, no cup holders. So my dads friend made me a tambour console with cup holders. Loved that truck, and you have brought me back to that time. So, thank you my dear for your increasingly amazing talent and irresistible loving nature you provide to all of us around the world. I’ve never not grinned while watching your videos. Many blessings from Texas. Troy

love it! I have a compass like that I was looking for a use for it. But there is no cup holder showing in your photo, I guess I'll have to wait for the Video to find out.

For the longest time German cars had no cup holders out of the principle that you should be focused on driving 😄

kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYfHiYhoe92asK8 The compass still gets disturbed 😕 You see it moving back and forth, maybe the screw at the handle is already magnetised enough to cause this. You could check if you encounter the same behaviour with a messing screw that you used for the side?
@burkiwa3 жыл бұрын
Looks like a fantastic start. As it was coming to the end I was wondering "Where are the cupholders!?" I really appreciate your talent, creativity and skill.

Even though the console is only half finished, it's already amazing. ❤️ Find the idea with the compass also, apart from the great optics, absolutely fantastic. Especially for traveling with an unknown destination. And I love how you can laugh at yourself, anyone who cannot do that has more problems than a non-functioning compass.

I've been subscribed to your Patreon page for more than a year but only for $1, and I honestly can't wait to bump it up more after following you for so long. The only thing that's holding me back is being on a really tight budget as a student, and I really just wanted to contribute whatever I could and not leave you completely unpaid for the amazing builds and content you upload! This build right here is another big reason why I love your videos is you have a very "normal" problem and you put so much creativeness with simplicity and such a big dose of personalization to "solve" these problems while being so resourceful as well. Love it!

I usually find little “fails” or oops in many video builds on KZbin. I completely missed this one🤦🏻 Not faulting anyone as I have had plenty of them myself and I’m sure I’ll have plenty more. Some of the fun is overcoming little challenges and creating something you are proud of. Great project. It not only repairs a poor design, it upgrades it as well and makes it your own. 👍😎 I learned a few things as well.

She says "I have an idea..." and I get chills because you know it will be good. Then, as a pilot, I see "FAIL" and we have a compass issue.... Oh RATS, but fixed! Goodness but on my trips to/from Hawaii every week this is entertaining. Please keep it up

Hi Laura! First glue speeding of the video, tapping the bottle onto the wood piece in sync with the music rhythm….absolutely genius, voluntary or not. You could use a spring loaded socket ball point screw instead the magnet 🧲. Obviously felt also allow to stop the sliding panel at a certain travel point.. Last but not least your laughter immediately after suggesting to subscribe, is very similar to Constanze’s one, a young woman from Austria 🇦🇹 who used to live here in Bologna: it’s rather seems a brat’s laugher, so funny and cute. Who knows if she watches your videos and reads some comments (?) Congratulations for your sparkling ✨ fantasy and inspiration.
