Don't know much about, and can't give suggestions...but I am super excited to see it complete and planting! So wish you had videoed some of the build, but totally understand trial and error, and lots of thinking! Regardless thank you for bringing us along, and look to seeing more on this project!!

I would find the money for kinze bean brush meters with blue 48 cell discs. Trouble free and almost individual singulation. I built a 15 row 15 in bean planter with 20/20 monitor with hydraulic drive for variable rate and easy drive.

I don’t think you will need weights.. I notill with just the openers. Keep fairly new opener discs and it will plant into almost anything. Also hydraulic drive eliminated wheel slip.

Before you spend money on the closing wheels I would buy kinze bean meters. They can be had used for 70/ meter and provide actual seed placement and singulation. First thing I did with my 7000 was sell the bean meters and get the kine meters and rebuild them. Definitely worth the money.
