Those cells were marked Li-Ion but you mentioned and labeled as LiFePo, cells just have wrong marking? None the less, very cool thanks for sharing

The K2 Energy cells are definitely LiFePO4 but it's true that there's sometimes a lack of clarity in how lithium batteries of various chemistries are named. It's important to work from mfr specs and track down all the relevant details about charge and discharge rates and voltages before designing a pack and selecting a suitable BMS.

Very nice tip on that meanwell power supply! What are you using to spot weld the tabs? Kweld?

I bought a cheap Chinese spot welder... And then I ended up buying a Suunko 709 that works for real

I'm considering designing a ryobi-style adapter for my Solo 417, just so I can stop playing around with the silly charger plug and can swap out batteries and keep going. Any recommendations on a voltage regulator that will safely/efficiently step-down the voltage to 12-14v DC instead of the 18v+DC that those batteries produce?

First of all that's a great idea! I don't remember how much current the pump draws but I remember being surprised at how little it was. It might also be totally fine at 18V since that's only 28% over the 14V spec one has to presume for "12V" devices. If you don't want the pump to run faster than stock I bet you can get an adjustable DC-DC that can handle 5 or 10A and I think that would be good. Maybe test the current draw before spending money based on my hazy recollection though.
