Enjoy the relaxed style of interviewing, but yes, you are right..."What's the schtory" doesn't help the actual story 😂

I started watching Thairish Times recently. I noticed that Steve basically said the same things Forrest Lee said in an interview on this channel 2 years ago. A lot of advice provided by Steve and Forrest were great, but pretty much common sense. I'm glad Steve found a new life in Koh Phangan and seems to be doing well. I don't understand why Forrest received hate from a rather large handful of viewers, whereas Steve didn't seem to receive the same treatment.

Interesting, I think Forest received a lot of criticism when he talked about the disagreement he had with an older American gentleman

Nice interview mate. I would love to move to Thailand one day. I’ve been to a few places over the 6+ times I’ve visited. I went to one of the half moon party’s in the jungle in Koh Phangang 2009. That was crazy but fun. I hope to retire in Thailand before I’m 55. I’m from Dalkeith Midlothian btw but live in Wellington NZ. My dad was brought up in Craigmiller/Niddrie back in the 60/70s

@@craigwilliams6337 ahh, Craig, thanks for the comment pal. Go for it, get all your ducks in a row and make the move. @@stephencomerford5783 Aye a seen that on one of the previous comments mate. I used to go to Musselburgh as a kid and jump in off the harbour. Lovely wee place. I’m a long way off retiring in Thailand but it is a dream of mine. I’m 38 so still a long way to go but know it will probably fly in. Stay safe mate and I wish you all the best!

Steve was the victim of a father who could not live a double life. A police officer must be a dictator at work and then suddenly be a diplomat with the family. Very few officers can be two different personalities at once. My neighbors never new where I worked and my wife never new what happened at work. Steve's father should have never revealed to his children about his line of work. I was trained to make something up and stick to it.

I work primarily with Brits, mostly Scots and it's not uncommon for them not to understand each other well. @8:14 You can't imagine spanking your child's buttocks with an open hand leaving no marks within a certain age range for doing something they knew was wrong? Weird. PTSD.....what a crock.

These “20 year” ago stories I wonder if he was even there. Koh Phagnan was never 100% backpackers. Also encouraging the 50k baht living like a king lifestyle 😂

He moved down south as a kid and lost the accent, what are you on about? I was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and obviously had a strong American accent but at age 7 my dad and mum who were from Paisley moved back to Glasgow. I don't remember it but within 6 months I sounded totally Glaswegian and still do obviously. Your accent is pretty malleable when you're young
