Your classroom is very impressive, what a great space for learning. Home schooling was a rare thing when my kids were growing up. I am wondering do your kids have breakfast before school or do you take a break and put on the mom hat for that? Also, what about dress codes, recess and things like that? I would love a time lapse video if a typical day, or to be a bug on the wall of your classroom🐜. I truly do not know how you ever rest! Amazing is what you are. God bless and keep you Misty 🙏

We have breakfast at 715- Bible starts at 745 Sometimes we take snacks breaks and I try to cook enough in bulk to lunch leftovers For example we had roast tonight with veggies so tomorrow for lunch we will have roast beef sandwiches for lunch :)

I added more overhead lighting to my basement pantry. HUGE difference in making it feel more accessible. I used led strip lights that chain together by cording. So much brighter and easier to find items and keep track of inventory and keep it clean.

Our weather here in Aiken SC is grueling in July & August with humidity that's unbearable ! I homeschooled my daughter for a few years, taught in private church school using Abecca (spelling?) a couple years, and can't imagine how complicated your situation is. I also remember collecting cow patties with my 2 kids for my mother-in-law as fertilizer and getting chased by cows!! Memories!!

Nice to see Herefords! We originally had 100 head that belonged to my maternal grandfather in the 1930’s. Later became 150 head of black baldies and red angus in the 80’s. Sure miss the cattle drives from lower Central MT ranch to summer range near the Snowy Mtns. Eighteen miles and two day drive!

A little tip for future staining wood shelves etc. I found out this from staining and that is .... sand & stain the pieces before you hang em . Hope it helps 😊

I love working with wood. When I have a project, it's going to be hard to stain.I have my husband cut all the pieces to size. Then I stain them all, and then he puts it all together.

Great job on the pantry! It's coming along nicely. I understand you want to have everything completed before you move your things in. So it's school time! You have so much to do I don't know how you sandwich in school but I'm glad to know that you do homeschool. The school system now is horrible. Plus you teach things they wouldn't get in school. Next, when you guys were moving those cows I flipped out when I saw that huge animal take off running and jumping. I had my eyes focused on Colby and was literally scared to death he was going to get hit!! It probably went through his mind too after what happened the other day. I pray he is mending well. The way he got hit was such a blessing. I Thank God Colby has his arm across his chest. You're so right. A blow of that magnitude could have done some horrific things to his heart. I trust you have a defibrillator on the farm for something like that especially since you're a nurse. May God continue to wrap a shield of protection around each and every one of you. Your shelves look awesome, nice job! That area is perfect for your family! I have a small basement with power and I'll put a small freezer there and plus there's an adjacent small dirt floor root cellar for storing canned items. This is plenty of room for me (babyboomer) with extra for a few of my neighbors in case they need it :) Answers in Genesis could be good for adults too, when you teach kids you fill in the gaps from your own upbringing. I was also wondering about your kids with music. Music is wonderful for math and science skill brain development. Great video Misty!!

Abeca curriculum is great. My dad helped set up private schools and homeschool programs for years traveling the entire US. Yes it is fast paced. Mom did a lot of research and proofreading for the textbooks.

Shelving looks beautiful. However, with the weight of your jars and cans, you may have a problem with the "legs" on the bottom of the unit. I think your shelves would hold up better if they were straight up and down, instead of slanted. I think you may have a potential problem with them holding the weight.
