You could have tried mixing different things into the wet noodle mix and doing small scale experiments to find which gave the best strength before scaling it up. The legs for example could have been moulded into a pvc pipe you have cut down the length. The table top could have been a wooden frame lined with a plastic sheet then pour your wet noodle mix into.

Hey Tyler can you build my house. Ur blueprint seemed so simple can u draw me a layout of a house?
@Dead-Dog-Rising4 жыл бұрын
I've been to the big house once. If I attempted this. 1) break the noodles down to a powder. 2) make your leg molds out hard bound book covers, what you have it made line it with a couple of empty bread bags 3) add powdered noodles to mold fill till you have a 1/2 space left in the mold. 4) dump the mixture into a garbage bag add 190 water one cup at a time indmix until you get a pizza dough consistentcy. 5) pour mixture back into mold. And allow sufficient time to allow for hardening. Remember you know this imprisoned so don't let the co catch ya. And then repeat three more times. 6) or your tabletop you should empty out your lock box. Line it with garbage bag. 7) not repeat the same steps that you used to make the legs (enough for a 2in table top) 8) now what you got to the point that the table top is dry 9) now it's time to make the ramen mixture one more time with just. ramens. Once that is made. put your table on top of your lock box add about 1/4 of the mix to each corner so you can use it like plaster to "glue" each leg on. Once you have done that. Use what ever ramen mix reamins and fill in the gaps between said legs and table for a smooth flowing finish. So that the table appears to be made as one. This is all off the top of me head. One piece of advice. Don't go to prison the knowledge I have gained about ramen noodles was not worth it.

Take a shot every time he starts explaining the noodles are folded Also, try crushing up the ramen noodles in a blender to create a powder. If you still want the ramen look add little chunks to the resin

The crushed noodles are basically acting as aggregate in mortar! I would have broken the slabs along the fold so that you have all the smooth inside surfaces to work with, and then laid them out in a two-layer staggered pattern -- perhaps 5x5 on top and 4x4 underneath. That way there's no direct shear lines through the tabletop. (It's a similar strategy for building sturdy Lego designs.) You could then align the legs with the corners of the smaller lower layer and put some slabs sideways to get some reinforcement across the horizontal shear planes. Of course, I would have also considered using other tools. I don't think it'd violate the spirit of the challenge to use a hacksaw to straighten the edges, for example. (Embedding the ramen in a resin cast on the other hand might be against the spirit.)
