Not a chance. I'd build it using standard materials. But, I took drafting in school, so could design exactly what I need. But I'm also not about to drop that large of a sum of money either. Especially since you had so much trouble & had to wait for replacement or missing parts. Hard pass. That being said, I'm glad you got the space & are happy with it. 👍👍

I definitely need an office space/studio myself, and I think this could be a good option! I think between me, my father-in-law, brother-in-law, and my brothers, we could absolutely get this done!

Jeff, what a video. Not only did we see you build your office but we also learned more about you. To be able to realize that you needed to get out of the basement and back into nature is great. Realizing that this would help you mentally and allowing more quality time with your family is priceless. Thanks for your honesty (as always) and I cannot wait for your next video.

Omg bro, so much work, so much money. Totally worth it 👌! I love your pod! I have a lot of construction skills, mainly carpentry and masonry. Nice footings, don't cheap out people, the foundation is what everything is set upon! Awesome job my dude!!! I'm loving the dad cut off shorts🤣! I would suggest a really nice(and expensive) masonry underpinning. Your in Michigan, you want great underpinning to keep your heat in, in the winter and summer, plus keep moisture out from your metal trusses. 🤙

These never took off so your video is the only one that I have found that wasn't by Autonomous themselves. I LOVE the look of this but I could get a TuffShed that is bigger for half the price. Are the walls insulated already? How hot/cold does your area get in extreme weather? Does it do a good job of keeping the weather and temperature outside? I would add a mini split or some type of temperature control.
@aaanglers
@aaanglers 7 ай бұрын
It is insulated and rigged for electricity with a light and fan. But i think you could build yourself for cheaper. That said, they have since dropped the price a bit

Hey thank you for the video. Thinking of getting the StudioPod...I live in Colorado...what was the winter like for you? I heard their insulation is R14 rated, which is pretty low? Any tips on super low and high temps? Thanks!
@aaanglers
@aaanglers Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it won't be warm on it's own, but it can hold heat. So I picked up a nice wall heater by Heat Storm on Amazon for $100 and ran that on a timer all winter. I'm in Michigan. The heater worked really well and I was comfortable the whole season. In high temps, the AC works well too. I'd recommend putting the Pod near shade though, because it will heat up quick in direct sun.

@@aaanglers thank you so much for the reply. Ok so your timer turns off at night? Does the nighttime cold in the winter freeze your computer components, etc? Thanks again for your replies.
@aaanglers
@aaanglers Жыл бұрын
@@christopherhill2773 The heat retained from midnight to 5 or 6 am the next day kept it around 40-50 degrees, which was fine for my computer. If I was dealing with any colder temps outside like 0 degrees or less, I would run it around the clock.

it would be better to price this build at 30k as mentioned in the video.. would love a breakdown of materials cost for this.. I know it won't happen but I can guarantee you something this small is nowhere near that. It's a cool looking structure but it's tiny and there's nothing special about the materials that I can see, besides the triangle window being a custom size. @@aaanglers
