It took me three months to achieve the calisthenics skill known as a muscle up. It took me a further two years to be able to increase my reps from a single muscle up, to 6 continuous bar muscle ups. I set myself a goal of achieving 10, consecutively. This video takes you through some of the highlights of this journey. I am not a physical trainer, athlete, gymnast etc, I’m just an ordinary guy that a few years ago discovered Calisthenics.
Over the years I’ve done many body weight training exercises but until I discovered calisthenics on KZbin, I didn’t actually know it was a thing with such a huge following.
I am currently training regularly, the muscle up, push ups, pull ups, dips and the front lever amongst other calisthenics moves.
The purpose of “fun with calisthenics” is to inspire and motive not just the younger generations but also the “old timers” (as I was recently called), who have a genuine desire to stay as fit and as strong as they can as the years go past. If I stay the course and actually get a small income from KZbin then by the time I’m at a pensionable age it will be very useful 😂, so please do like 👍 this video, leave a comment and subscribe to my channel so you don’t miss my next video.

Why you do this to me? You keep upgrading the benchmark I thought that I reaching 20 pullups and 100 pushups in a set would match you (video recorded) but hack 10 muscle ups! it gona take another six months of training to get to 10 muscle ups. My life would have been a lot easier as couch potato without seeing your videos. Anyways gotta buy those bands first.
