If I was in the audience, I would feel a bit patronised. These are teachers who have dealt with a lot of life experiences and don’t need to necessary be told basics of empathy etc, maybe reword it to what she needed to learn, rather than “you you”. Also ironic that the research that kids social and emotional scores predicted how they did later, BUT earlier she was saying that it’s the contexts and environments of the adults and teachers that determine their scores and functions in the first place. We have also learnt that race, gender, compromise to toxic systems etc effect “success”
