You have made what we call a "Secret Racing Car".. You can spend all day driving your heart out and no one outside the car has any ideal of all the fun your having. .. Look for a Supertrapp Muffler for it,, Get a used one off Craigslist or Facebook market. Your engine is about the size of a large bike engine. So large bike mufflers will work just fine. Keep enjoying life.

The pure pleasure on your face listening to a 79 model year car with an exhaust. That is why we build and enjoy cars. There are people who have bought supercars and been less happy than you driving that Corolla. I used to be exactly the same with my ratty old Mk1 Fiesta when I was a kid (which I made loud) Awesome.

Looks like you've got a little room above the exhaust, just behind the rocker. From what I've seen so far, you have the talent to notch the rocker above the exhaust outlet. Plus, I think it'd make it a little more "custom". Great work, by the way!!!

I am looking forward to the headliner job when you do that. For me, I want to do mine one of the 3 ways I am thinking. I want to re do mine in Suede or dye mine. But, I’d love to fiberglass the headliner and put carbon fiber vinyl that looks super close to legitimately looking like real carbon fiber. Then I’ll enjoy my completed project with a little tea time.

Tech tip on 3d printing : design pins and female holes to line the pieces up and glue them together. Also you can use acetone to smooth out the surface and get rid of the lines ( suggest practice first because you are melting the part and it mutes some of the detail)

Think that rectangular exhaust tips would work? That way tea time won’t be interrupted by dragging the round tips
@stepanvala4 жыл бұрын
Not gona lie but the exhaust looks weird. It is probably cuz of the tip sitting there just alone😄. If the tip was “tear” shape and the exhaust differently lead so it would go underneath the side skirt, I think that would look amazing🙏🏿 But still loving this build so much!
@KntckyFriedChkn4 жыл бұрын
Do a cut out exhaust! So then you can have a full exhaust towards the back and just some hidden tip towards the rear to quiet it down. and then you can have the cut out towards the side exit for when you want it louder. Quiet mode to make it appropriate for Tea Time and Loud mode for after Best of both worlds then!

You should check out the "Ender Extender" kit and the BL Touch for ABL. Teaching Tech does a great review of the kit and it should allow you to get the size you are wanting without a ton of coin. Nice to see it run! I love how you eyeball most of the things and then make them right. Now, you should pull the rear axle, front subframe and make a custom drivetrain, reinforce the chassis, and 2jz swap the bitch, or some 2L NA with ITBs! Really hope the next project is a VW VR6!! keep up the good work!!

Looks good, 2 suggestions.. Take off the lower trim pieces where the exhaust is and create some type of cutout for the exhaust so it doesn't tap the panel.. Also could use a hole saw and create some type of custom ground effect scoops similar to a viper/3rd gen fbodies.. Also might be worth it to paint the lower ground effect panels to black because the exhaust might actually stain or damage the paint. Could use the 3d printer to make some type of heat coated part to go above the exhaust pipes to protect the body from heat/exhaust dmg after you cut out the exhaust clearance.

Reminds me of my old Datsun 510 that I had when I was 16. I bought it from a buddy who had taken a hammer and nail to the muffler. I went to drop off a friend and on may way back down his street one of his neighbors stopped me. An older gentleman standing in the middle of the road waving a rake. I had my window down and he tried to rip me out of it by my collar... He wasn't a fan of the pops. 😎

@@philipbrady3701 Thanks for being so cool about me being a little pedantic. The distinction between JDM and exports is that the vehicle was built specifically to be sold in the Japanese domestic market; not exported for sale in other countries. I see the JDM love everywhere and that is very cool Mighty Car Mods has a serious JDM "problem" or addiction, but they are talking actual JDM cars.
