Great review, it’s A Bullitt Mustang , 6 speed , 500 bhp coyote engine V8, it’s Highland Green, It’s got cult car status, who wants passengers in back, who wants golf clubs, Who wants a 12 volt socket in the boot? Steve McQueen would be turning in his grave for heavens sake, Oh, I forgot , I’ve got 2019 Bullitt Mustang, They hold there money, value for money, last of the proper GTs

The bullitt mustang is already an American icon it will be a show piece in the very near future its probably the last of the old school manual gearboxes to be ever made and petrol v8ts of its time before these hybrids come into effect, so this car well kept and garaged will end up being priceless and paying homage to the original it will be worth a fortune one day so never sell it any time soon best to preserve its history and show the world one day what a real muscle car was really all about cause you have heritage. Salute!

I can confirm everything Dave says about the car as he gave me a pretty long ride in it. Man, just the sound of it stirs something visceral in you. Yet the comfort you need is there. The sound settles down into the background and the dampers do a superb job on British roads. When you hit the loud peddle there is a tremendous, classic muscle car noise that vibrates the prostate and assaults your ears with that “Dukes of Hazard, Starsky and Hutch” woofle. This is a modern car with an old soul. Buy one and you will not regret the experience. Would I buy one? Me? The EV geek that I am? Hell yes!

Rented a mustang for a day, not a Bullit, but the 5.0 and just dawdled about in it absolutely loved it, never had a v8 always wanted one so thought at least have an experience - your closing commentary summed it up. Trouble is, I still want one.

This is Americas icon is priceless and a rare future classic limited special edition muscle car comemorating the 50th anniversary of the original and its heritage. It will be worth a fortune soon the last of the petrol v8ts and the last example to only come with a dying old school manual transmission being presented only in this model. This is what makes this car as rare as you can get something that we probably will never see again it will end up being a show piece to remind us what it was realy like to drive a stick back in the day and what a unique experience it realy was. Salute to the mustang bullitt the best ever movie car chase that started it all.

Have an American spec bullitt with a h pipe, and magnaride suspension. Added ford racing upgrade. Springs, sways, and a flash for the computer. Just a beast of a car! Loud, fast, handles.

Very good! I own a 2019 Shadow Bullitt. I think many kids today look at a car today with EVs as an extension of their phones. I’m 50 and grew up with a dad that loved cars. Many speed shops around my area. I was hooked on the rumble and big cams I’d hear at the local speed shops. Wish the Bullitt had a little more low end grunt. It’s a rev it up engine.

@@AutoBears The last Mustang I owned was a rare 1986 LX 5.0, medium blue with blue cloth interior and manual transmission. I only had it a couple of years. One of a select LX from 1986 that was stocked with a 5.0 GT engine (last year with the four lights in the front that was replaced with the two lights in 1987). Again, thank you!. I will have to watch the movie again. I watched an old movie entitled, "Vanishing Point" from 1971, which is a cult classic and stars a white supercharged 1971 Challenger R/T hemi.

Excellent review! I agree with your statements at the end of the video. I just purchased my bullitt in the US and I love it! The power and sound of the V8 is amazing.! I never realized the HP in the US bullitt is higher than the UK model. I also noticed that it's missing the oil pressure and vac gage, too.

The cupholders are in the same orientation from left to right in the US cars. This makes cupholders actually useful in the US. Ford did not want to spend extra to make a mirror image of the center console suitable for the right hand driving market.

I didn't realize until I watched your video that the Ford skimped on the right-hand drive change over and the E-Brake and the cup holders didn't change sides. FORD, come-on!!!!!!

hey bloke wheel on wrong side... In USA we get 480 hp 🤩 and yes Bullet is a great car! I don't have one but a GT with a10 3.55 gear with Ford Performance Bullet tune kit plus x pipe 490 hp and more torque especially low end and then Ford Performance Track Pac suspension upgrade just above GT pp2 below GT350. It's a poor man's GT500

3:15 Porsche and bmw are luxury brands. The mustang is essentially a rental car platform. A gt86 with a v8 wouldn’t suddenly compete with an f-type would it?

Well if it’s in the same price bracket, yes. Otherwise you’d have a class of car that’s on its own which wouldn’t be fair. The Bullitt in that bracket is going up against those 2 rivals due to price and performance.

@@AutoBears I don’t know how much it costs over there but it’s probably overpriced just like the Mach 1. Still in the states we bracket things differently. A zl1 1le costs the same as a base M3 but only because of brakes, suspension etc. They aren’t true competitors though. If you judge a ford for having a ford interior vs a Porsche for having a Porsche interior it still isn’t fair. You can buy a pro rally car for half a mill doesn't mean it compares to an aventador.

That emergency brake lever should be down. And it has 4 seats to keep American insurance costs down. Insurance for 2-door cars is more expensive.

Despite the huge price markups in the UK, the Mustang was designed for a different market segment than German sports cars, which are not it's rivals. Other muscle cars are it's rivals. You must factor that in. Your standards by which you judge it are ridiculous. And you can put your 2nd golf bag in the back seat for God's sake.

Thorough review, but stating that the golf r is faster is simply wrong. Off the line, yes, but once moving the Bullitt is much faster.

For a bit more info, autotopnl timed the 100 to 200 kph of the Bullitt at pretty much the same time as an M2 comp with a DCT (10.74 vs 10.59). Way faster than a golf r; even stage 1 golf r can’t get near these times.

As much as I dislike the Golf R cos it looks pants and sounds pants and I much prefer the bullit but facts are facts other than straight line at the higher end of the rev range a Golf R will smash a mustang in any situation.

The Volkswagen Golf R is most certainly *not* faster than the Bullitt, at least not the North American Bullitt, which admittedly has a little more power. I know, because I just trounced a Golf R in my Bullitt.

@@AutoBears In the US it actually works better since the cup holders are off centered away from the drivers elbow. Ford got cheap and didn’t create a mirror image of the entire center console/shifter area so that’s why the cup holders are in such bad placement on the Euro versions.
