Had this stove for five years. Ran 30 cord of wood threw it and still works great. Took the worthless fan off the back and set a regular metal house fan behind it only when it gets really cold.

It's Jan 5th 2014 and we are about to get hit by the coldest temperatures that this part of the country has seen in over a decade. Glad I have this installed and running!

I've had the 2000 version for a couple years. It is a bargain, I have a damper on mine and it burns all night. I've also found that the customer service was fine when I needed a part. I don't know where all of the complainers are coming from.
@seoulkidd110 ай бұрын
So the damper didn't make it smoke.
@shriaingnama10 ай бұрын
@@seoulkidd1 no, not at all. it is absolutely essential to have to allow you to control excessive heat and to allow your loads of wood to last much longer. 3 years later it is still a masterpiece. The dampers are basicaly the one type sold everywhere.

can u sweep the liner from inside the stove?

Hi, is it double combustion?
@burbbilly7 ай бұрын
Yes these are. There are bars at the top of the burn chamber that have maybe a type of ceramic tile on them. The flames come up to the front and then exit out the back on top of these tiles and that’s where the 2nd combustion takes place. The stove has to be hot enough but once it gets to that point it then does that second burn which helps clean the hot air / gas leaving the wood burner.

I have a fractured spine and can't drive. Husband fires it up before work but heat with no fan does nothing but sit around the stove. so mad after spending my last monies on all the piping....which was as much as the stove

Monica, plug a normal box fan or a stand fan in within a few feet of the wood burner, you will move as much or more heat with that. I would run my fan plus run a fan on the burner to help keep it from overheating and another in the house to move air into another room. Don't forget the squeeky wheel gets the grease..call them back and ask where your fan is..daily :-)

Just bought one used but never used however all bricks are gone. How many bricks and does the bottom have bricks or do you use a grate?
@burbbilly8 жыл бұрын
+John Merch John, I don't have the unit anymore so I don't know the brick count but the bottom does have bricks, there is a metal stopper you pull up with a poker to drop the ashes to the pan below. Walls and bottom have bricks. I'd google the owners manual and see if that helps you or contact the manufactor directly

6 years with the 2.0 version of this stove. I left the fan off, too noisy. to the old lady with the broke back and lazy hubby a 15 dollar box fan behind the stove on low and a ceiling fan in each room on low will move the warm air around while your chilly. i find you need a pipe going outside to the fresh air inlet, and I dont heave the wood in too hard, those bricks crack easy. those thermometers on the stove pipe dont work if its double wall. I put my therm on the plate, as a reference. I find a 500-600 degree fire with a half load of good wood works best. if you overload it, the epa re burner and air intake will keep your output down and just burn up more wood. i paid abt 1200 with delivery to the curb from a semi. 12 ft of stove pipe gets a good draft, triple wall from the cathedral ceiling box up, but I was thinking of going triple all way but for the sliding pipe to take it down. i dont use the ash bin. shovel it up, leave a 1 inch bed of ashes.

I can't stand mine. I had it professionally installed. I keep the chimney clean, yet every time i try to open rhe door and restock it i get a house full of smoke.

there must be something going on with the air pressure in your home. Even with a small gap in my seal that I know about I have no problems with that. I'd keep that door closed I suppose.
