Crime isn’t down. People have stopped reporting is as much cause of high insurance rates. After my first two car break ins in 2022, I stopped reporting it cause my rates have gone up.

This is one way some to report "progress" in fighting crime.. I recall in the past some LA county cities were taking auto burglary reports on drop off forms that resulted in no action at all. In essence these crimes "did not count".

They NEVER respond to crime in progress calls. They let sideshows operate with impunity. OPD blocks the streets around sideshows and waits until they disperse.
