Natalie simply met a garbage human and recounted her experience and that was where it ended for her. Caroline was forced into her villain arc, of course it'd occupy her mind on a regular basis.
@Lee-fw9mr25 күн бұрын
Sidebar: Does anyone know if she's been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD? I'm 1 hour and 10 minutes into this video and her life sounds surprisingly like mine. Sounds like she suffers from SEVERE ADHD, like I do. Maladaptive daydreaming, being handed multiple once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and letting them slip through fingers not because your work was bad, but rather because you did not even being the work. When Natalie said, "Caroline counted down the days until she missed her book deadline" that shook me because... that has happened to me all throughout highschool, my young adult life, my middle aged life...... and it's been extremely embarrassing and damaging to people around me BUT... it's like a paralytic thing. I'll sit there PARALYZED and be stressed about the deadline and do nothing about it. I'll nap stressfully, stare at the wall stressfully, watch TV whilst not paying attention due to stress, and I will literally watch the hours of the day, and the days until the deadline count down. Without me even STARTING the project. These are projects that I was passionate about, and had amazing ideas for. And I had the skills to blow expectations out of the water. BUT.... I was always paralyzed. They say it's linked to a Perfectionist problem. I don't know how, but that's what I read. In highschool, I would even help my friends write their papers if they seemed overwhelmed, but I wouldn't write my own. When I was 32, I learned that I have BED (binge-eating disorder) I started taking Vyvanse, prescribed by a physician who has an eating-disorder practice. BOY did I become productive. The medicine worked... a little too well. I was on the lowest possible dose of Vyvanse (30 mg) and I was straight up "limitlessing" like Bradley Cooper. I was suspicious of how my life changed in literally 1 month. I became a new person. I continued researching my disorder (BED) and my medicine (Vyvanse). Turns out, Vyvanse is also a medication for ADHD. I researched ADHD... facepalmed myself... because everything I was reading about ADHD was every single terrible trait I had. I spoke with my eating disorder doctor. She was agreed I probably had ADHD, and she WAS qualified to diagnose a Patient with ADHD but she said she'd rather have a psychiatrist formally assess and diagnose me. I did that. Was formally diagnosed with severe ADHD in my 30's. And dude..... I'm not perfect.... but I'm 1000x more productive than I ever was before. I get shit done. People rely on me. I WANT to clean my house. I WANT to finish projects. I WANT to work on my businesses and make money AND FOLLOW-THROUGH for my customers. ------ I know Caroline's got other gross stuff in her life, like the cat thing, and obsession with her ex-bff Natalie.......... but everything in regards to her being a flake, an eternal planner and never-doer, talking and over-explain as much as she does, did I mention being a flake?, hopping from 1 side-hustle to the next, and constantly apologizing for broken promises, losing fantastical career opportunities handed to her on a silver platter, being CRAZY irresponsible with money, stressfully watching the clock run tick away until it hits the deadline instead of WORKING................................................................
@Lee-fw9mr25 күн бұрын
I just googled it. She was "recreationally" taking Adderral (an ADHD medicine) which is one of the worst ones you can take because you can get 'high' off of them. You can take more than you're supposed to and "limitless" even harder. You can't do that with Vyvanse. Adderral is a "fast-acting" ADHD medication so you limitless hardcore for a couple of hours. And eventually it even stops working on you, so you have to take more and more. And when you stop, the crash (psychologically, physically) is apparently like coming off hard drugs. It's really bad for you. But Vyvanse is a SLOW-acting ADHD medication, that makes you limitless calmly for 12-14 hours. And you can't get high on Vyvanse because you can't like.. snort it. Or whatever. Vyvanse doesn't go straight into the blood-stream. It gets digested by some enzyme in your intestines and then gets slowly absorbed into your blood from there. You feel the medicine kick-in after 1 hour, but not a RUSH. It's just... suddenly you have motivation. For 14 hours. That's it. So even if Caroline HAS undiagnosed ADHD and she accidentally was treating it with illegally with Adderrall that wasn't prescribed to her.... then she's still basically got untreated ADHD. She needs to be formally assessed by a Psychiatrist or PhD Psychologist and needs to try a slow-acting ADHD med. Not fast-acting. I have no idea who fast-acting Adderral is for because that medicine leaves nothing but dumpster-fires and broken brains in it's wake. People legit get diagnosed with depression for the first time in their life DUE TO STOPPING Aderral. Jesus Christ. Stay away from Adderal, people.

Caroline is just SO self-obsessed and delusional that the reality of Natalie being a seriously regarded and *professionally* published author has driven her (even more) insane. I know. She's doing so well and it's great because she didn't have to -perhaps lie about having had to- fake grades to get into a pristigeous international school, fake an internet presence, fake a personality, fake not having developed an addiction, fake being a writer, fake having multiple crises of poverty, fake needing federal protection from paying rent, fake being an It Girl, and then fake being a memoirist by useing the audience built off the original fake audience to sell a memoir that was apparently fake edited. Natalie did the one thing the NYU professor told Caroline to do, the one thing Caroline has all along, for some reason, made every excuse not to do: write. With no family fortune, no celebrity/influencer status, no real life Gossip Girl train wreck of a life story, and no Cambridge fairytale degree, Natalie simply wrote a book and sold it. (I know Caroline technically sold hers but self-publishing doesn't count when a decent number of the buyers don't ever even recieve the book.) It's easy to tell exactly who is on whose mind when they lay down to sleep every night. 😂

Pausing the video to address the cat question you had. As someone who's had cats most of their life and has actively worked to educate myself about how to properly treat animals in general, what she is doing is very upsetting. His tail is flicking in the clips you see her petting him, that's how cats let others know that they're pissed off and are going to attack if you do not stop the action. Holding the cat by the neck is very (and I shouldn't have to say this), very dangerous for him! You need to support their bodies, especially if they're older. There are ways to pick up a cat around that area, like by their scruff, but absolutely never their throat and obviously for a short period of time. Also, his survival instincts are kicking in at the very end of that clip. He gives her a warning swat in the air because despite how horribly she treats him, he most likely loves her and that is the worst part. Okay, I needed to get that off my chest, I'm gonna continue watching the video. Hopefully actual cat experts will weigh in on the health reasons why this is such a terrible way to handle a cat, I'll admit that I don't understand it. I just have common sense.
@chocomelo4543 күн бұрын
Oh boy I'm not even there yet but yeesh I think I know what kinda flick you mean too. So inb4 anyone tries to say tail flicks don't mean anything, there's very specific types of tail flick. There's the angry flick which is fast (and if they're sitting its like a dog thumping it's tail) and there's the swish, which is more slow and is more like flexing your wrist. Or the rattle. But I think that only my cat does the rattle. Because he's orange and does it even when he's approaching people on purpose so i know it's not the "go away" rattle. He walks up to you going "EEEEEEE" and is rattling his tail like a little snake.

I just didn't have the motivation or skill to maintain a 3.5+ GPA. Not like it matters, I wanted to pursue animation out of all things and got into a really decent and selective school for it in the end. Irregardless, be proud of your hard work because you deserve it! They accepted you out of the tens of thousands of applicants because you had merits they didn't. You made the cut because of your own skills, hard-work and commitment to the school. That's metal af! People will always be better, sure, but that is inevitable. If anything, you should befriend the people you compare yourself to and steal all their knowledge for yourself (unlike Caroline Calloway who just steals people's money lol) . That's what college is all about anyway. To learn and vanquish your mortal enemies. The only things that matter is that you got accepted for a reason, and that you graduate. That's it. At my school, we don't say "your art is good" or "wow, you drew that so much better than I did." We say: "I want to eat that." You know why? It means we want to consume whatever skills that artists has and share our own like sharing a meal.

You do sign a legal document that puts you at legal risk if thry find oit you lied, but it wouldn't surprise me that a university like Cambridge didn't check for a candidate coming from a rich school and paying international fees (they're insane, I had a government grant, thank god). Also, a lot of theseschools accept "donations" from the families of candidates, so that might have also been a possibility. I am surprised how someone with a childhood dream to attend Cambridge and acess to an elite school and, most likely, personal tutors, didn't allready have amazing grades.

The most ironic thing I kept thinking was that she would make an intruguing character for a novel, but she is far too lost in the sauce to ever be self-aware enough to write about herself in that way.

Yeah lmao, her casually saying she donated it "to charity" was probably her giving it to some org that's technically a nonprofit but not doing anything worthwhile as a write-off. If she had actually given tens of thousands of dollars to like, an actual organization like, providing meals for hungry kids there's nooooo way she wouldn't have milked that shit.

It’s giving Mean Girls. It’s obvious Caroline is delusional and feels extremely jealous of Natalie. Caroline is so obsessed with appearances, living a fascinating life, throwing parties, wearing expensive ballgowns; essentially doing everything she can to make sure her appearance matches her delusion. And yet she feels jealousy & spite for Natalie, because she knows that no amount of money, looks, manipulation or lies will erase the truth: Natalie is a better writer than she will ever be.

I was in Undergrad when Natalie’s article was released and I remember being OBSESSED with it. It was such an intimate and realistic glimpse into the kind of friendship we all have experienced at some point with a friend you love but so does everybody else and you’re not as important to them. She also was very graceful in her writing and humanised Caroline way more than she deserved. CC should be thanking Natalie on her knees because Nat made her sound so much in depth and interesting than she actually is. Also Nat is a better writer because she isn’t a narcissist and actually has the ability to look beyond herself and at other people long enough to understand them which reflects in her writing. CC lives in a bubble so obviously her writing will never resonate with anyone else because it’s for herself only.
The way my jaw literally dropped when you described how Caroline said she wanted to k*ll Natalie…that is some psycho shit I hope Natalie has a PPO against her to protect herself because Caroline is genuinely obsessed with her.
