This song unironically feels like a giant "F*** You" to what I've heard were the social norms at the time of Gold & Silver's release. This would have been right when several people were afraid of what the new millennium would bring, to say nothing of the whole Y2K craze. Despite that, things ended up pretty well for the most part, and this song represents how the new chapter of a journey- of life- can still be comforting.

That sound. So simple but so amazing. It reminds me a lot of memories. Those versions with emerald and diamond and pearls were the best ones. I hope to find those type of games again. 😀 even if it is always a pleasure to play to pokemon at 35 😂😂

Maybe it was because I grew up with the 2nd generation, but I like this version better than HG and SS. It really does feel like home.

Good ol' Gold and silver :3 The graphics werent perfect but the adventure was real! :D oh nostalgia, i love our encounter with eachother ^^ but to be honest Red, Blue and Yellow were my first games. But this was lovable just as well :D

Okay, I'll admit I messed up. This is playable with any Game Boy, I'm not sure about the Game Boy Micro. Crystal is the one that doesn't work with anything prior to the Game Boy Color.

i remember my gba... but i lost it... and my ds lite died and i cant find the charger... or my gba games... xD the earliest pkemon game i've played was leaf green. :3 it's interesting now listening to these themes. they're new to me, being a late-ish pokemon game player. i love these themes. :D

@7GamerMinutes No, because I used have a broken Pokemon Gold (or at least may have been Pokemon Gold with a dead battery, which I didn't know at the time) that was for the original GameBoy. Crystal, I know is for the GameBoy Color.

gold and silver does not have the gbc logo while pokemon crystal does require a gbc

Normal GB, But Crystal Requires a GBC or higher
