I love this track for the simple fact that it's set at night. I wish the Burnout games had more night tracks, or the option to change the time of day for custom races.

It's pretty crazy how deep into the level the water texture goes.

The water texture is a large square I believe, so a lot of it goes unseen under the level so ocean can appear later in the track without using another polygon.

Hi there, I believe you've posted this on Reddit before correct? I don't believe it's been done before, and in all honesty I'm not sure it can even be done. However, if it is possible, it would be a complicated process. I'd advise you to make a copy of your game ISO before attempting this. You'd first need to extract the ISO, if you can't edit files inside the ISO file. From there, you'll want to navigate to the track you wish to edit. Assuming the folder structure is the same for your copy, they should be found under Tracks, then Forwards or Reverse. The tracks are then codified, so APTL is Airport Terminal Long (Airport Terminal 1 & 2), CSTS is Coast Short (Big Surf Grove). The PSW file contained within that folder contains the track data, so presumably it contains the arrow geometry too. From there, you'll require ModelResearcher and you'll need to find the relevant section of hex code that corresponds to the vertices of the arrow/barrier you want to remove. You may also need to find the face hex data too, but I'm not certain. From there, you'll want to remove that data. Not sure if setting it to zero values or deleting it outright would be the way to go, but those are your options. You'll want HxD or a similar program to actually edit the hex. Finally, save your file, and repackage the folder back into an ISO using ImgBurn or the like. Again, I've never done this before, but this is what I believe would be required.

@@OmniGlitcher sounds really hard... I thought was just about opening a 3d file with some options... and then just add or remove map chunks... I don't have knowledge of programming language... so i will leave it the way it was..

@@OmniGlitcher nevermind I've downloaded and opened the file as you told me, but doesn't show any 3d model at all... guess it's too hard

@@alextimossi7444Unfortunately most games use proprietary file formats for their models, requiring them to be directly extracted from their hex code. If it were as simple as editing a standard 3D model file, what you ask would likely have been done already.

@@OmniGlitcher yes, but i guess they were making tracks using textures and a 3d viewer instead of codes and numbers... how you set camera as bird's eye?

Is it me or it looks like burnout paradise dlc map ?

Yes, Burnout Paradise's Big Surf Island is indeed based on Burnout 2's Big Surf Grove, right down to the name. Everything in Paradise City is based on a previous track in the series. The western rural side of the map is primarily Burnout 3's Silver Lake with elements of Revenge's Lone Peak and White Mountain, as well as 2's Crystal Summit. The eastern city side of the map has elements of 3's Waterfront and Downtown, as well as 2's Interstate and Palm Bay. Names of tracks from other games are present as district names, such as Burnout 1's Harbour Town being the name of the naval yard's district in the southern part of Paradise City.
