Burnout 2: Point of Impact - A Lap of Big Surf Shores from Overhead

The videos in the "Burnout 2: Point of Impact - [Track] from Overhead" series are made using the Gamecube/Wii emulator "Dolphin" running at 5K resolution, but recorded at 1440p. They utilise the Free Look functionality of the emulator, found under "Options" then "Free Look Settings", which works independent of game.

I remember this being one of the only tracks in the game (if not *the* only) where you can actually catch the insane culling that the game does behind the car during normal gameplay. I can't remember exactly where it happens, but I think it happens if you hit that little jump next to the fence on the right side of the road not far after the gas station around 0:54. Then again, I think that you can sort of see the culling in several spots on that stretch of road on the coastline in this map during standard gameplay.

I've never seen it myself, but being able to see the culling on jumps or long stretches of road does make sense! I'll have to keep an eye out!

I would have liked them to have done the thing where the map disappears as you advance since it consumes too much performance and for emulation it is difficult to make it run smoothly.

They do though? You can literally see it in the video. The issue with performance you're apparently experiencing isn't on the game's end.

I would love to, however unfortunately there are currently no modifications that let me do this with Revenge, as well as Dominator and Legends. I will be covering what I can with Revenge though, certainly.

@koz The only type of free camera in Revenge is in the Car Viewer debug mode, and you're stuck in the starting line so no fancy panoramic views of the whole track as you go around.
