The videos in the "Burnout 2: Point of Impact - [Track] from Overhead" series are made using the Gamecube/Wii emulator "Dolphin" running at 5K resolution, but recorded at 1440p. They utilise the Free Look functionality of the emulator, found under "Options" then "Free Look Settings", which works independent of game.

at 2:10, the road that branches off to the left is the road that alex timossi pointed out in the crystal summit lake overhead video that connects crystal summit with the 88 interchange. the reason why its not clearly marked on the map is because the entire road is a tunnel as it goes directly through the mountain.

1:23 The exit on the left was intended to be a track from Interstate 88 to Big Surf, but was cut from the beta. I think there should be a remaster of this game where all the regions are connected and you can free roam, with more accessible streets and areas that were never accessible before. Maybe add police variants to all vehicles and add an option where you can be the suspect in Pursuit mode, adjust the heat level (affects how many police cars are in pursuit and the type of units they use), and have events as an officer where you have to shut down multiple racers rather than just one. Perhaps there could be a final race in Championship mode where you go through a tour of all regions, being pursued by the cops throughout the race. I loved crash mode in this game, and now that we have more advanced technology, I imagine it could be more chaotic and fun if a remaster was made, with explosions and more features. Criterion should definitely remaster this game.

After clipping below Burnout tracks for years, it feels weird seeing literal nothingness underneath B2's levels. I spot some textures you'd never normally see, too, like streets on suspension bridges.

Burnout 2's skyboxes are a little strange. Although it's not quite literal nothingness like the outside of the skybox, this track does have a dark bottom half, but other tracks like Airport Terminal 3 actually have a blue bottom half. And yes, there's a few textures you'd never normally see. Though the route across the bridge was possibly an intended connection to Sunrise Valley at one point, so this may have been some sort of left over.

@@OmniGlitcher Oh, it's a solid black. Welp, so it instead *looks* like nothingness. Sunrise Valley and Airport Terminal suffered the same fate as Dockside.

I-88 is a real expressway in the Chicagoland area. Doesn't look like this lol

Hi, recently i was watching your videos and i dunno if you know something about a cut car from burnout revenge: dobly racer. A cut car that a user Edness could recover for the retail version of burnout revenge.

Hi there! As I understand it, the Dolby Racer was initially cut from Burnout Revenge, however the texture for it was found by Edness in one of the early beta builds. Unfortunately I don't know the exact specifics of where they found it or which beta they found it in however. If I were to speculate, it was likely found within the car model file for the Etines Racer, given that shares a model and stats with the Dolby Racer. I believe the restoration was done by applying the texture to the Etines Racer, and changing the text. The car was later officially added to the Xbox 360 version of Revenge as one of several free DLCs available.

In the case of Burnout 2, it's just culling. It's actually much more friendly to the hardware than not doing it would be.
