Burnout, how to cope and celebrating the good times /adoption fostercare

My husband and I were unable to have a family so we fostered and that was really good...then a little girl came along whi had suffered a lot of trauma...attachment issues were huge...we were totally unprepared especially for the constant testing...on reflection there are things we could have done differently after 4 years we could take no more and felt it waz unhealthy for everyone...the placement ended...only people who have been in this Situation understand the intensity and the impact of this behaviour

Exactly, it's much harder than some people realise. I know the pain it must have caused you to make that decision.
