Burris XTR Signature Rings

A little review and how these ring work. Mine are 30mm Medium (1.00") Height. You can add 5-40 moa of adjustment to your scope with these. You can also adjust left to right if needed. If you are shooting longer ranges these are a must.

I just put these on my Savage Stealth, 34mm. I put the 20 in front and 5 in the rear. Just got to shoot it now and get it sighted in!

These rings solved my problem. I have a AK47 with a side scope rail that was riveted on the receiver crooked. I needed to raise my scope 15 MOA. Problem solved! Thanks to this video.

I've mounted a Burris XTR 2 ,5- 25 x 50. I used the Burris XTR signature rings. using a laser bore sighting devise moving the crosshairs to the left to align with the laser I've run out of adjustment

No the scope is a 30mm tube and the height of the rings are medium which is 1.00"

I've been trying to sight in a 4-16x42 mm Nikon scope on a 1972 .243. Win using the regular Burris 30mm rings. I'm unable to get the rifle to shoot within 3 inches of center, the bullets are hitting 20 inches to the right at 100 yds. Do you suppose the XTR rings would solve the problem? 20" at 100 yards is 80 clicks on a 1/4 MOA adjustment scope. I doubt your scope will adjust that much. The rings would definitely help you get your impacts closer to center. As long as your scope is grouping, the scope is not the problem, just an alignment issue which the rings should fix. Hope this helps.

I just bought this to my Tikka T1. A question: Im using a 20MOA picatinny rail so I dont need the extra MOA with the rings. In the package there was 4 rings with "0". Should I use the "0"-rings or should I not use any rings at all (since I dont want any extra MOA). Thank you in advance!

"O" rings are "zero-offset"...meaning true diameter all the way around. If you don't need extra cant or sideways adjustment....these are what you would use just like normal rings.

Hey great review! Just a question ;-) I want 20 MOA of cant to Nightforce my scope - would I put +20 bottom/-20 top at the front and +0/+0 at the rear?

The diagram they come with are wrong. I always get caught up when I mount new rings. The front is actually the back and the back is the front and the ships are seapped as well with top and bottom. Frustrating.

Make sure you have the base correct. The XTR don’t fit in standard weaver grooves.

Can any one tell me how to get 0 moa I bought the rings for a 34mm scope I have 0 moa base picatiny rail an I just need 0 moa what inserts to use and were??

All I can figure would be to use one set of 20moa in the front and the other set of 20moa in the rear - as long as they are matching (both sets showing -20 on bottom insert or both sets showing +20 on bottom insert) it shouldn’t affect the angle of the scope, only the height of the tube from the rifle.

I just mounted my scope rings XTR signatures, I'm pretty much going the same way 36 additional minutes I've spaced scope rings 4 inches apart. Question so I just dial down 36 Moa from the top to get my zero ? And I can zero my rifle at 100 yards is this correct?

You are the only one that has put out a video explaining how it works everybody else just wants to open the pretty box and show the Rings off hahaha thank you for your reply buddy. Went to the range this morning and got it dialed in. Finally I was getting shots in the same hole pretty good took a little trial and error in move my front rings but once I figured it out it worked out. Thank you.

does it come with the rings or no? Do most rings have the groove in it? my scope/mount has caused my scope adjustments for right movement to be near the end of the adjustment- i only have one revolution of movmeent right- and 4 revs left- - pus i'd like ot get more elevation for longer range pellet rifle shooting-

Yes, it comes with the rings. The rings and the inserts are designed to work as a system and can not be used on their own.

@@Des..Perado thanks for the reply. I bought them because my air rifle didn't have any windage adjustment to the right hardly, but I also,needed elevation o For longer distance target shooting. But u fortunately I had to,use both -20 & +20 in the front to help out the windage issues, and back where I had to offset the ring inserts to the left, so I lost the elevation, or most of it, that I wanted. I thjnk,I got something ,like maybe +5 elevation, not enough for what I'll need... but it did fix the windage problem. The adjustment for windage is now centered (with I think 1,turn to,the right to get to pointmof aim mark. I think I woild need a +30 -30 for back to give me enough, but that would stress the scope,too much I think

@@Nazareth434 These shouldn't put any stress on the scope. That much windage adjustment to zero is pretty wild. Seems like your rail may not be centered on the rifle, your barrel may be bent, or your scope could have an issue with it. You would need to use shims that equal out to 0 on both front and back, so your +20 -20 up front is right, but are you using them sideways for your windage, or did putting them in "flat" solve it? I had major windage issues with an old set of rings of mine when I had the base clamps on opposite sides of the rifle, so one pulled left, the other pulled right and thus turned the scope on me. Putting both of the clamps on the same side fixed that for me.

@@Des..Perado th ak you for replying. The gun is zn air file, avenger 22. I'm not positive, but I think, like,you suggested, that the barrel was tweaked a bit when I Installed my new scope on it, either that or like you also suggested, the rail may be off (I had mounted the scope further forward than the previous scope,) well long dtory short, itook off the rings and scope, put an older scope I knew was fine on, and it had plenty of windage adjustment, like it should. I too, that off, put the new scope back on, and this time mounted it back a bit, and it was fine. I think either the barrel got tweaked while,installing the new scope the first time, or the rail was off,up towards front (its a 2 piece rail, that skips the magazine area, because magazine sticks up past the area where a solid one piece rail woild be. It seems fine now. I know the avenger barrel is kinda susceptible to moving ,if it gets bumped or stored wrong,, so maybe that was the issue

These Rings added 36MOA so I just Dialed down 36 Minutes, and I was back to zero.

243 Outdoors okay gottcha. I,bought the burris xtr ii scope and unfortunetly it has no down adjustment, but i have a 20 moa rail and theres about 20 moa built into the scope. Ive tried a few options and its just confusing. I think im almost there. Thanks for replying quickly, gonna try to zero it tomorrow

It's really hard to know what you need when you start with the Signature Rings. I had this scope mounted and knew exactly how much I needed to add. When you start with the Signature Rings you are basically guessing what you need to add. Generally if your scope has lets say 70 MOA of total Adjustment. If you have it mounted with a stock base and rings as close to the barrel as possible, you will have about 35 MOA of adjustment. Then you add the 20 MOA base then you can dial 55 MOA. Then with the Signature rings you could add another 15 MOA. Lets say 10 MOA in the Front Ring and 5 in the Rear ring. This would let you use all the adjustment of a 70 MOA Scope. It's really confusing, I know I've been there.

@@nateb4039 that im not sure. I would assume you can use two sets of 20's. If you put +20 on bottoms and -20 on the tops that will zero you out.

I'd rather have 10 cheap 50 dollar scopes than one good one. Carry 2 or 3 in your back pocket in case one breaks on the trail. Don't worry about them bumping together and making clacking noises. There's probably nothing around to shoot anyway. I mounted 2 scopes side by side so I get the 3-d view. Works well. Ha
