Burt Reynolds Heartbroken 1980. The beautiful ranch he was at is dust and weeds now.
Burt Reynolds shows us that you can be on top of the world, yet feel as if the world is on top of you.
He was great in Gunsmoke and many other projects, a good guy really.

I’ve been sobbing for 2 days after finding out about how she died and that last scene of ADGTH I used to babysit my neighbors daughter when she was 2-3 and she died just before she turned 4 and that was in 2018 and I still cry whenever I think about her. I know exactly how Burt feels and my heart is recrushed all over again

This resonates deeply with me and my ex I parted ways with earlier this year. I still feel like we're soulmates cause the good times were definitely the best times I've ever experienced in a relationship but we was too toxic for each other for it to last. At 40 I think I'm done with the dating scene cause it's a joke and I've learned my lesson that not everybody has a happy ending to their story.

I don’t wanna sound selfish and take away from the message in the video, but when he said about being an adult and letting go, that really hit a specific chord in me because a year ago, I blocked one of my oldest friends after being disrespected for the last time, and it was a painful decision and one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever had to make, and I didn’t want to do it. The ultimatum was to come to terms with it or let her stay on my life and continue taking me for granted, and it was a pattern throughout the time that I knew her and we had talks about it and I knew after the last time she did it that it was not going to change and I had no choice Because I loved myself first and foremost and was going to do whatever it takes to protect myself. It’s not a good feeling, but it’s necessary.

You did the right thing. As much as it hurts. I know I don't know you but I am proud of you. Not many can let go of toxic people that they love. We are all so depressed, so lonely. I pray you all allow Christ into your life. We all have a God sized hole in us that nothing and no one can fill. Because we are a species that worships, if we do not strive for Christ, we will worship the profane, the mundial. We will worship ourselves. And we can't even make good humans, what chance do we have to be the god of our own lives? Rip Burt Rip Judith In His loving arms.

This interview was filmed at his house here in S Martin County, FL. He died in it but had presold it to someone for the crazy low amount of $1.5 million with the deal that he could live in it for free until he passed. Whoever bought it didn't tear it down like I thought they would. Burt was an overly generous guy and was easily taken advantage of which is why he went broke at least twice. He was ok in the end, not totally penniless but based on what he made in the 1970's he would have probably have been close to a billionaire had he just kept it in an S&P 500 fund.

Burt used to wear his heart on his sleeve a little too much at times. It was a needless distraction, and it helped him lose the aura of big screen stardom that a movie star needs to retain. John Wayne and Clint Eastwood had their share of personal problems, but they didn't bring them out and parade them in front of the public. I am 66 and I loved Burt Reynolds, but when he turned down a great role in 'Terms Of Endearment' to do 'Stroker Ace', he lost all credibility in Hollywood.

I agree with you he did deliverance a few romantic/comedies and he didn’t do city heat till 12 years later look it up. He was the problem. He did so well with the smoking bandit franchise. He had a chance and I don’t know why he didn’t tell his buddy how I’m not gonna do this another movie. I’ve got a chance to do terms of endearment. He would’ve been better Nicholson, there was no reason to continue that garbage movie he could’ve put it on stall and say I’ll come back to you know my word is gold but I’m doing this terms of endearment Shirley McLean James El Brooks couple young actors but I’m gonna do it instead he did that stupid movie About the race car drivers and Nicholson wins the Oscar just being dumb man.

You should turn your back on your kids when they're in there teens & 20's and learn to not care and then start a new life for yourself with another lady, otherwise, if you stay around, you will be sad when your kids turn their backs on you.... When they're grown up in their 30's, they should be wise enough to let go of their reasons for hating you and things could become content again, and I say it would be alright to visit them every now & then.

You’ve positioned “ those “ kids very well. How Narcissistic of you. Children are forever not a dump and run job when they need you the most. Children need a father at this most precious time. Formulating their way from child to teen to early adulthood. You need to be around a community of Real Men to see that. Sad if you didn’t have that but if you think that is a parental template you need therapy or a wake up call from your self absorbed bubble. Some men and women shouldn’t populate.
