Glad I read your review Jason, the only shop that I can find selling that particular bushmills in Ireland are charging €75 !. I can’t understand why they didn’t just do a higher abv version of the regular 10 year old. Of late I’ve been buying older bottles of black bush online (80’s 90’s) and to me they are a wonderful representation of a sherried Irish whiskey. Like yourself I wish they would not color or chill filter these whiskeys. But I’m sure someone sitting in an office somewhere thinks that people associate deep caramel color with good whiskey.. Always very nice to see a Bushmills that is not at 40%!! Too bad it did not live up to the hype so to speak. It is strange to me to see RedBreast in an orange box? You would think it would be red or atleast part of it would be red, more then just the tiny red on the bird.

If I were to stick with the two brands you have on your table, my choices would be Redbreast 12 year old or a 1.75 liter Bushmills Black Bush... :-D BTW, you have a couple of letters transposed in the headline (WhisykJason)

At our whiskey club this was very popular. I certainly do not agree with your review (as I often do because I have the feeling that you go more for quantity than quality reviews). So recommend everyone to try it for yourself you won't be disappointed.
