Shang Tsung doesn't morph in this version. Must be a limitation of M.U.G.E.N. I love MK1 and MK2, but when MK3 introduced button press guaranteed combos and the run button I lost interest.

I have a way to make it so stages don't ever repeat, but are based on characters instead. Awesome playthrough! Another glitch I found a little while ago- you can basically begin spamming a special move at the beginning of the match before/during "Fight", and get a head start. If you connect the hit, you'll stop the opponent health bar from increasing for a quick match, and yours will stop as well. If the opponent counters, your health bar will be stopped from filling, while your opponent will then have more health for the match. You can also jack up that Hornbuckle match as well in the same way, with invisible fighting. It's like a risk/reward type headstart. Note that this can screw up the number of kombat coins earned, and the ladder scroll. The ladder scroll will usually correct itself, but the win streak and kombat count becomes inaccurate for that session.

MK2 came out when me, my mom and brothers first moved into a new apartment after being in a house fire. We were blessed with a Super Nintendo during the transition and we played the crap out of this on that first night. So MK2 is one of those games that take me back to a pivotal time in my life.

I’ve recorded a couple videos using a capture card, the reason I don’t is just because of the nature of my channel, I like to keep the look as retro as possible, if I could I’d record everything on a CRT to be honest lol there are many channels with similar content however that do use capture cards so whatever the preference it’s always pretty easy to find. The stage rotation issue is a problem with the MUGEN engine, not the creator's, which is why no MK MUGEN game has been able to fix it, as it requires hacking into the executable itself to do so. I have explained this multiple times, yet people still complain.

Yeah, the engine randomly picks from the pool available, and it tends to repeat often. While one solution is to assign stages to characters (as in Street Fighter), with projects regarding games like MK it feels "weird" and goes against the spirit of the original material.

@@Holothurion I agree, assigning each MK character to their own stage seems unnecessary, except for bosses and secret fights. Adding numerous stages can help avoid repetition for the most part, that's why many MK MUGEN games have hundreds of stages.
