Busker Irish Whiskey Tasting - March, Irish Whiskey Month!

Hang about...a whole whiskey MONTH? Wow...the Irish are sure doing it right! 😊 Okay, I know it's just a day, and it's tomorrow. Think I'll be sipping a Two Stacks. Love that stuff. I have tried the B single pot still, but a while back. It was decent, though I don't remember it standing out particularly. That said, the tasting pack sounds like a very good deal at this price point. Looks like your weekend will be chugging along quite nicely, with some good amber in the glass! What makes this stand out for me is the ability to sip across the styles. It continues to be freezing out here, so after running a few errands, it will be fire place, a book, and a dram!

Last month I first tasted the Busker pot still. I liked it so much that I blind tasted it with the 12 yr. Redbreast, Redbreast just barely edged it out. After that I got the Busker single malt, it's ok but I wasn't all that impressed with it. I'll be trying the triple cask triple smooth next. With the exception of the Teeling single grain, I'm not a fan of single grain whiskeys. Though I might try their single grain.

Jon, The Busker also puts out a blended whiskey called the ‘Triple Cask’. So folks could use this taster pack to do some home blending and try to replicate the ‘Triple Cask’. Happy Irish month!

I’ve tried the Busker triple cask and quite enjoyed it but for tonights Irish it’s Jameson single pot still which I’m really enjoying.

just in time for St Patrick's Day! Glad to see you liked the Pot Still, our native style! As for colouring I know the blend has caramel colouring, but the small batch Pot Still (in the new packaging) doesn't have any, so these might also be natural.

Having a dram of Clonakilty Double Oak and I can echo your comments on Irish whiskey being gentile with the mechanical notes at the finish although I get more costal which makes sense based on the location of the distillery. Nevertheless nothing bad to say about Irish whiskey. Only thing I would add is a longer finish. Great video Jon.

Glad your release has a longer finish. These were good, but certainly could be a bit better
