When you are able to train even 5 minutes after excersizing it is important. It is important to create a bond, an understanding of what you would like your dog to do, instead of what not to do.

Any time that a dog owner spends some quality time with their dogs is very effective and valuable but setting up a 15 minutes of training session is the best as 5 minute session does not have any impact in the learning spectrum but it may have in emotional level.

Sir, I'm a regular viewer of your videos. I'm also a busy professional pet parent (single parent) having 2.5 years old male pomeranian dog. As I couldn't get enough time for his pee & potty training, he's presently doing pee & potty in the living area & other places of my apartment except washroom, if emergency. But, for last 1.5 years I used to bring him out for walk at least thrice a day and therefore he has also been habituated for completing pee & potty outside. But, I'm now facing problem in the rainy season. If I can't get him outside, he tries to hold pee & potty as much as he can. But, when he fails to hold nature's call, he's peeing here & there in the apartment. My main concern is -- how can I teach him now to use washroom for these jobs? He don't even want to enter the washroom. I'm a professional person. Kindly suggest me some effective ideas, which can work on him. I'll be highly obliged, if your ideas work on my adult pomeranian male dog. Thank you.

In situations like this I usually need to focus on prevention and long term solution. So, focus on what you are feeding your dog which can affects the number of times that they need to eliminate. The less processed food, the less stools and less peeing. That would be my prevention plan. That will help me with dealing with the root cause and the long term as well. The next plan would be to develop a routine or schedule. For instance, I know that one of my dog's poops right after breakfast and that is all for the day. I know also that she pees every few hours so I step her out. So, everyday, I follow this schedule so it becomes a routine for my dog rain or shine.
