Hey butch, just wanted to let you know, in below zero there are jukebox discs you can find, in the various Alterra outposts and bases, that adds tracks to the jukebox, most are really good fan made songs. Another thing to note is those beaked predators near the purple vents are glass cannons, they can easily be killed by ramming them with the seatruck, and actually ramming them does less damage than if you allowed them to nibble the seatruck

15:30 that thing there was a cut creature from the first game. When the first game was in early access there was terraforming. So you could essentially make the world minecraft. However Terraforming was taken out because it allowed you to dig to the lava zone rather than make a trip down there through the Deep Grand Reef and the Lost River. As a result the Rock Puncher was cut because it's gimmick revolved around terraforming back then. They had a lot of it's animations finished before it was cut so it's good they put the creature to use here.

The other reason that terraforming was removed was, it was resulting in ridiculously massive save files, and very slow save and reload times.

RIP Timmy. The same thing happened to me. I remember I was actually closer so I heard this muffled boom and looked around and no Sea Truck. But yeah always park at least a couple meters above crush depth. Yeah enameled glass is a pain in the butt to make in Below Zero. Diamonds are something I ended up needing to google. There’s a trick to finding them and once you know it it’s easy to get loads, it involves the gravity trap. You should scan the resource deposits and read them (not necessarily on camera, probably a bit boring for video material), the rocks work a bit differently in Below Zero. In OG Subnautica the rarer rocks had at least 3 items they could drop, in Below Zero each resource outcrop drops either titanium or one specific resource. It’s a lot easier to find specific stuff that way but you need to know what rocks you want to search for. If you’re looking for somewhere to go next remember that your character wanted to visit the Phi Robotics Lab to find out what happened to her sister. You can figure out where it is on the map you got from the island, it should be in your data folders. It’s got some good stuff, and it’s on land so you shouldn’t have too much trouble. Unless you’re as bad with reading that map as I am where you’ll end up at the Omega Lab instead. 😂

You can kill those Godzilla things by hitting them with the sea truck. You take a little damage but worth it. Also when you have more compartments on the sea truck, you can “pop” out of the sea truck faster if you tip the sea truck to a vertical position. Good to see you back in the Captains chair!!

You'd generally would want to park vehicles at at least 10m above the crush depth, as if if it still had some momentum, or got pushed by something, it could drift in to crush depth.

The map in BZ is only slightly smaller. It just seems so small because of how crowded it is. Since I was also very scared play Subnautica 1 I actually prefer BZ because it’s a lot less scary and a lot prettier.

Btw something you missed in original subnautica playthrough and you shouldn't miss here. You can use ion cubes to make an ion battery that has 5x the capacity. Such a good quality of life improvement

you had to make ion power cells to even finish the shuttle so he definetely knew about them but at that endpoint of the game there really isnt much use for them and with the battery chargers it doesnt make much to switch them out anyways when you are already back in your base for something else. So the ion batteries are more niche items for people.

Tip for Butch: When youre in the lifepod go towards the wall behind you and go along it to the right side and go on until you can go up on the land and youll find a base with alot of good resources that you need. oh and for the love of god build the air bladder cause in this game its the most useful item in deep waters if youre running out of oxygen. also the big black fishies die from one good run into them with the seatruck

Personally, I didn't appreciate the music you played when you were building your base at the beginning of the video. For that kind of game, I prefer ambiant music like the ones that you put almost everywhere. They allow me to get more involved into the video because I start to have the feeling that I'm also playing the game if you understand what I mean. When I heard the big music that played when you were building your base, I had to pause the video to know if it wasn't another tab in the background that played it because it didn't quite fit for me. I would prefer you keep that kind of music for big moments like for when you craft a vehicule or finish something important or something like that because I couldn't really focus on your talk with it playing in the background. Apart from that, I really like your videos and I'm impressed with the quality of them. It's a quality I would expect from a guy with at least 200k subscribers tbh.

Community please halp!!!! My seatruck is stuck in my un powered moon pool. It was working fine and then i made a control module and it went unpowered, but my base never lost power! I have deconstructed everything i can to it and tried to reconstruct to no avail, except the moonpool as it says the seatruck is in the way, like no shit sherlock lol. I have pleanty of power 725 units with three solar and a bio reactor. Ive searched everywhere online that i know of and havent been able to find any fixes. Please please help this is game breaking imo i dont eant to have to rebuild a whole base! Ive sent feedback in game but we will see if they respond 🤷 thank you butch for your inspiring and entertaining videos and to anyone who has any ideas ✌️🖖🙏
