Before trying this recipe, I scrolled down the comments for the recommended pan & somewhere found Katherine's reply of 8"x 8" round or 7"x7" square. So I went with 8"x 8" round, and I also did not have corn starch available, hence adding APP flour instead (also found this as suggestion reply by Katherine in commentsbut with no suggested amount). Baked it, the house was so aromatic with butter and cheese smell filling the air. The skewer test came out clean! After cooling overnight, upon cutting the cake, I found the top kinda hardened slightly, and sadly, the bottom part of the cake appeared to be still wet and not well baked throughly. Taste was perfectly delicious and quite rich.

I tried this and it came out awesome!!! Right amount of sweetness, but i added bit more cheese. Make sure to evenly sprinkle the parmesan. It makes for good presentation and a nice cheese crust. I made this in a mixer. I didn't follow the 'add last egg with flour' thing. Came out fine. Would make again!!!

I just started baking and I tried the recipe but sad to say I failed.. I used the silicon bread pan, one side of the bread is still wet. But so far, the above crust is delicious. I will try again and I will use tin pan instead. Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe.

I've tried many butter cheesecake before but didn't taste the cheese at all. But for this recipe, the cheese can be taste in every bites! 😍 Reallyyyy love it! First baking it I made a mistake and the cake was lil bit dense 😅 today will making it again. Hope my cake can be like that texture 😋😋😋

This cake is delicious but maybe my oven got problem. The middle of the cake still little bit wet but when i tested using skewer while its baked the skewer came out clean.

Cake looks a bit dry. Any ideas to modify the recipe to make it more fluffy and lighter such as Japanese cheese cakes? Can add a bit of milk or perhaps less flour or more cream cheese?

How crucial is the addition of 40g of corn starch? Won’t it make the cake very hard and heavy? Can I omit it or lessen the quantity? Thanks.

In fact, it's the opposite effect. Addition of corn flour is to make the cake tender and lighter. U can try Google how to replace all purpose flour with cake flour (it's by adding corn flour to all purpose flour in order to replace cake flour). Hopes this help to clarify)
