They ain't sketchy to ride ya just gotta know how to do so. I was much more confident on a three wheeler than quads back then. When it's all you road you become used to the turn radius. Basically you gotta drift on sharp turns , I loved riding trails with trikes.. Also extending and widening that axel made that year way better for control ...That bike was so short and boxy. I seized mine up in 88 after a Honda shop screwed up the piston . Ruined my first camping trip without my parents . All the guys I was with got to ride while I sat in camp freaking sucked. My dad bought me a 350X after that I loved that thing . One of the best 3wheelers ever imho.

The port timing and size, the expansion chamber design matched up with the small diameter carb give that engine more low rpm "torque"than the 250 motocross bikes. A trick move on a 3 wheeler is to ride on the front wheel and only one rear wheel. It looks trick, but it's pretty easy. No need for throttle to do it. Just balance and it's done at slow speed, standing up on the pegs. Have fun!

You really have to lean into the turns like a motor cycle track rider. Thats why so many people would get hurt, they would try to turn without leaning and would roll. JMO. The original tires will help with the rough ride, thy used to call then balloon tires. low air pressure gives them bounce but can also make them harder to control in very bumpy terrain.

Man ride that bike in a sandy area. Like where there are alot of pine trees. Them tires will be awesome Also riding in sandy areas its easy to turn. Just hang your ass off the seat in the direction your turning and use the power band to help spin the tires to get to slide around. Whats great about 3 wheelers is you actually have to ride them. They can be unforgiving if you mess up but once you master the 3 wheeler and how to ride it is awesome experience. I grew up on them and i could ride the wheels off of them. But i cant lie i never could master jumping them. That there is a tricky thing to do at least for me it was. Never hit the rear break in the middle of a steep hill. That back axle becomes a pivot point and you flip over backwards the cross bar on the handle bars will crush your helmet. Ask me how i know.

Hey Joe, just wondering if you give your 2stroke bikes a good shake when you get on them to make sure the fuel in the tank is still mixed thoroughly? It was a common thing to see before startup standing up on the pegs, grabbing the bars and giving it a good shake for a few seconds to slosh the fuel in the tank back & forth. That was the first thing that came to mind seeing the smoke when you started it in the garage.

That thing rips. Once you get a taller tire it should help make the gears a little taller. Too bad it doesn’t have the six gear but hey do you really want to be going that fast on three wheels LOL I grew up with a 200 SX I think it was A four stroke sport 3 wheeler model with six speed with clutch those were the days riding with my family learning on a three wheeler. Felt so fast when I was younger.

Swap a 2 tooth larger front sprocket and drop several teeth off the rear and it'll run 65mph plus easier to keep in a wheelie in low gears..
