Have a 2016 with 105k, been using it about every day, did long distance with a uhaul trailer, and have used it for delivery. Absolutely no issues with anything mechanical. Touch screen still works, sounds system is better than any of the ford and jeep rentals I've used from similar model years. Highly recommend for a daily driver

I have a 2014 AWD and only 71,000 miles on it. The rear brake calipers have to have yearly caliper rebuilds or the sliders hang up and eat pads and rotors. Recently, I had a vibration between 30 and 40 mph. It turned out to be what used to be called a universal joint, BUT, Toyota makes you buy the entire driveshaft for $900!!!!!!!!!!! They make the universals inseparable from the driveshaft and they even put a bearing in the middle. What is it, a dump truck with two-piece driveshaft?!! There are parts on these things that are not stocked in the U.S. too. My buddy had to buy a bearing from a guy in Canada! Mine has a 6-speed automatic. When they and other brands changed to the 8-speed, they created a monster that is constantly shifting gears and giving lousy performance. If you are considering a Rav, look for a VIN that starts with a J = Japan made. Having to take off the entire front facia to change a bulb is brilliant too.

I have 14 limited and beat on it daily with parts, courier and taxi use I’ve had zero problems at 135k and I’ve never had to remove the front fascia to replace a bulb😂 it’s made in Canada. As for the brakes use a quality synthetic brake grease on the pins when u change the pads to avoid that problem.

Recently bought a 2014 AWD Diesel version. Really happy with everything but just like what this video said, not very comfortable on the rough or gravel roads.
