I bought another Audi TT
This time a 225 Coupe in Merlin Purple
Its got a few naff modifications, BUT, its got good bones!

Great buy, my Mrs is obsessed with Purple. Agree regards removing the tint on the lights, the rear window tint might be useful in hot weather & looks well fitted

I bought this one 7 yrs ago no i dont normaly have a car that long .but these cars get under your skin . You Will love it and before you know yes your like me a long time owner..tell me another car you can buy as cheap that gives the same buzz. ?

Just bought a Merlin with the light grey interior, mine has a satin finish with the sports gloss black roof, it also has a wide body kit and a mk2 style double large grill front which I’d imagine you’d hate but I really like, that’s done in silver with matching silver rear wing. I’m not one for OEM, to me that’s someone else’s style and part of the pleasure of owning cars is stamping your individuality on them (usually tastefully). I have 2 TTs both have billet caps for oil, coolant etc, stainless steel engine cover bolts and H gate gear selectors. These are tasteful subtle modifications in my opinion. I’ll pass you a bucket 😳🤢🤮

@@JonCoupland I’m not on socials, and it turns out my “Merlin” is actually a much rarer colour (excuse my apparent colourblindness and ignorance) being actually Audi Silk Lilac or Flieder Blau, I had just assumed it was Merlin and the silk finish had changed the colour dumb as Fk I know.

I like it. Need,s a few things like you say. I think you are de rodneyfying the car good job too. I agree about the parcel shelf bit of a bad egg that. No shame on some people. Will turn out nice though cannot wait to see it done😁❤Ruth

Rear window tint is quite functional but I would remove the side window tint and the rear light as well

@@doobersigaming9312 I have no idea what you have had to do to yours then?! This is the third TT In my collection. The two others have been nothing but reliable. A few bushes here and there but nothing close to even £500 spent 😅

I’ve had new downpipe, timing belt and pump, new rad, both fans thermoswitch, control module, all fluids changed, filters, gearbox oil no expense spared to get her upto scratch. The hydraulic power steering line burst so that’s next. Must have got a dog of a car to start with. ☹️

The rarest I've seen in terms of TT here was an Ocean Blue example, many years ago. TT's in the overall are rare, but in any color other than silver or black even more.

@4th_Lensman_of_the_apocalypse Yeah, the customers here in Brazil tend to prefer bland colors like black and silver, occasionally gray and white...more colored options such as blue, yellow, red, green, etc. are much rarer for most cars. 30-40 years ago, streets had a lot more color, but sadly that ain't the case anymore.

Thats not a dumpvalve its the hockey puck which controls the crankcase pressure 😉 sadly tt doesnt work with a dump valve its a recirc valve, all noise comes from induction.

I think he had a few other TT's in his collection and its actually quite an expensive part to come by in good condition! (£60-£80) - i wouldnt have minded BUT he removed it after i had paid and left the car 'safe' with him for the night!

@@JonCoupland Always a risk not leaving straight away with newly purchased cars, although if he was wanting to keep some bits to use elsewhere you'd think he'd take them off first as many buyers wouldn't notice.
