Some ppl in this comment section are so weird and dumb, asking how the deserts are japanese and that it's not japanese. Were you expecting Japanese people to have sushi chocolate? They're a 1st world country in 21st century, they eat western food and has made many of their own version, it's been like that for decades. Sometimes the desert has changed far from the original so it's appropriate to call it Japanese deserts, it make more sense. It's also popular in japan and became known overseas as a japanese desert.

I’m Japanese myself, and I never even saw matcha creme brulee. Even if there is, it’s not just famous (or I just don’t go to cafes too often). Tasty just wants to make the money by using the concept of ‘matcha’. There so much Japanese sweets like anmitsu and manju, yet they only choose the ones that relate the most to western audiences.

The “Brick French Toast” is actually something a cafe makes near where I live. But they call it a “Toast Box.” It’s absolutely amazing, and the bread is the perfect texture if you like slightly dough like baked goods. And then they add ice cream, a macaron, whipped cream, and pocky. It’s delicious, but it does have a lot of sugar and calories 😅 me and my friend couldn’t even finish it and we both love sweets. But if you were wondering, they are totally worth getting! And are absolutely delicious.

@big-footedsasquatch9201 7 жыл бұрын
Your Neighbor ok, I see your point of view and even agree with it myself, as no country is ever going to be perfect, but along with that we also have to recognize that no person is perfect, and that everyone was rasied with different values and opinions. this isn't an argument, I'm just trying to stop other people from ruining this comment chain and getting overly worked up over a misunderstanding :)

@@blng7597 Not all Americans let themselves go. Many of us value our health, and don't try to tell people that ALL asians are super healthy, because that's just not true.

Ryleigh B I was not telling people that Asians are super healthy, you see the majority as healthy with minimal obesity. And I could say the same thing too that "not all Asians let themselves go...." but you know what? I'm not going to because it ain't worth it. Of course there are exceptions that some Asians are fat too I'm not gonna lie here!! The facts and statistics show that out of all races, majority of Asians are not prone to getting fat. And if you ask me why, I'll say that it's in their genes! And yes there are 'exceptions' that many Americans are healthy too, but if that is true then why does America have such a high obesity rate? Let's break it down, shall we? America is the land of abundance with food and money! It's no joke that America has all kinds of food, and to add to it, even Asian foods leech their way into America. So it makes sense that many Americans are served with any kind of food they want, and with poor management of their health they get obese. Mexican food, Chinese food, Japanese food, you name it! Well if you take care of your health, good for you! I'm not trying to bring anyone down, the facts will give you more information if you're curious

@@blng7597 Listen, I know the statistics. All I was saying is that there are plenty of Americans who value their health and their life, as everyone should. Obesity is an epidemic, and more people should realize how they are destroying their bodies with minimal exercise and less than ideal eating habits. People around the world, not just in America. I personally feel lucky to live in the United States, and I understand that I should appreciate the healthy food that I have available to me, as many in poorer countries do not have access to healthier foods. That's all that I was saying, I didn't mean to sound as if I believed that there isn't a problem, because there certainly is.
@blng7597
@blng7597 5 жыл бұрын
Ryleigh B you still don't understand my point! You need to look at my comment in different perspective. You claim that there are Americans who are healthy and you know the problem, but I'm saying that specifically Americans are obese because the food is cheap in America! Anyone can get obese! But we are looking at America's health and obesity rates!! America is a rich country, so that MEANS food is abundance! I live in the United States and born in America too. If You were to examine the statistics closely, you'd know many Asian countries are not even close to obese because they are not the type of people who get fat easily, and actually good at taking care of themselves, like for real! You need to travel to different countries and you'll see that they eat differently from America. You need to look at your country and understand the viewpoint from how other countries look at us!! Don't be like one of those ignorant Americans! And don't try to argue with "there's other ignorant people too" I know you are a super proud American I can see that!! but Do you understand this?
