There’s a good portion of serial killers that targeted teenagers. Zodiac being one of the biggest. All were killed at Lover’s Lanes, which were often in secluded areas at night (usually about this time sexual activity occured, and they’re teenagers, so of course they would take it somewhere secluded) They were vulerable, making the best targets for serial killers at the time. Poor kids should have thought deeper into their choices. And fun fact, alot of the lover’s lanes had changed names or had their names removed due to that reason.

I love it when people actually confess to the murder on their death bed and people are all like "I don't think so" like why lie at that point? The guy literally killed himself over the guilt and people say "nah"
@nothobbesmufc949 Жыл бұрын
2 years later but figured I'd answer. Some ppl confess to gain notoriety or fame of some kind. Look at how many are or claim to be related to DB Cooper. Several well known serial killers such as the Iceman have claimed to have committed crimes they couldn't have committed bc they're seeking attention. The Smiley Face Killer had 2 ppl confess to one of his crimes. Some ppl who have specific mental illnesses will confess to crimes they didn't commit too. Not even needing anyone to ask "Did you do this". They'll just walk into the police station and say "hey I did this murder".

I’d put money on the guy being someone who was not successful with girls and ostracised by guys. felt hatred towards couples, Elliot Rodger style. I think he wanted to humiliate the guy and take away his power. He also raped a couple of the girls with his gun (but not his penis) which could point to impotence of some kind. I think these killings were like incel revenge killings in a way. (Just a random theory I have)

It's interesting to think that, being from Texarkana, that it was known as a "rowdy town" that was "full of violence" at the time. People act like it was the perfect southern place to live. Keep your doors unlocked kind of thing. Then the murders happened. I know it's crime ridden. Though, unsure if it has more crime than other cities of its size. Oh! And the Hotel Grim is still there but has been shut down for a LONG time. Rotting and falling apart, a place for teens to sneak into for unsafe shenanigans. Also, two movies based on this. They watch them every year in a place very close to one of the murders, which is now a park.

It is a lovely town. My family is from there. It sits directly on the border of Texas and Arkansas, and there's a post office on State Line Ave. I talked with my dad's mother about the phantom killer quite a few times. She was a child then. After the people were shot in their homes, she remembers putting blankets over all of their windows. I never did get to talk to my mom's mother about it; she would have been a young adult at the time and I don't know why I never asked.

I read a theory that the Texarkana Phantom grew up to be the Zodiac. The MOs are similar. If TPK was around 20 in 1946 he'd have been in his mid-forties by the 1960s. The math works. Someone write a screenplay stat!

@@coolmanyea5030 after so long, his MO could change, that way they don't catch on the he's the same person

M1 Twinny Then how come none of the Zodiac suspects are the same suspects from this case? You know they aren't the same person, so please stop telling yourself lies.

@@coolmanyea5030 well, the killings took place in two different cities so that would explain it. I'm not saying I believe this theory, it just has some logic

M1 Twinny "Some logic" No, there is no logic in this theory.
