This episode made me emotional! I'm Taiwanese-American and I grew up in the midwest. My family makes chive dumplings all the time, and whenever I would try to bring them to eat at school, all the kids would just talk about how "gross" it smelled because they weren't used to the smell or taste of chives. It's so amazing to see that Taiwan is finally getting the recognition for its food that it deserves!!

My friend moved to Taiwan from sunny Los Angeles about 3 years ago. I went to visit her and it was so fun! Everything there was pretty inexpensive and the food was amazing! I stayed there for two weeks with my mom and brother in an air BnB. There were so many cute stores and it was so lively. It was so interesting how most people didn’t own cars because there are subways everywhere! I got so much stationary and we went all over Taiwan. We stayed up in the beautiful mountains in a breathtaking inn. We explored the city of Taipei and did all sorts of things in the suburban and rural areas. Omg I wanna go back so bad and see my friend! It was also crazy that we got to go to the original Din Tai Fung restaurant! Nowadays they have the restaurants all the way here in California! Geez it is a truly amazing place.
