@DaneCordes I just did 7 days from EP 25. Moose Lake. Was amazing. I've been back 5 days, and I was just scrolling available permits thinking the same thing!! 💙

We were out there the same time but went out on Mudro EP. The weather change was pretty crazy after the storms went through. Went from sweating my butt off to freezing my butt off. Going out on this entry point this year so came across your video while doing research. Looking forward to it and hoping for some much better weather!

That's great to hear! I don't like change. I heard that the pictos were much brighter, even just as recent as the 90's, but we thought they still looked very nice.

I'll bet you were the couple I passed your first morning. I was paddling a Savage River Blackwater, with a rudder. Yes, it was HOT! I was on my way to Lake Superior so I had to log lots of miles in that heat. I left Mountain Lake on Wednesday morning and just about froze to death, cold and rainy. Spent the night at Ft. Charlotte and did the Grand Portage Thurs. morning.

Yes! You were flying, caught up with us at the giant beaver dam. How did you fare in the storm?

I was on Rose Lake, BeaV 's team had caught up to me ( they started at Rainy Lake on Saturday) We all took shelter under an upturned canoe at the beginning of the 2 mile portage. We all camped together on Mtn. Lake. A solo tripper was gracious enough to invite BeaV's team in. I arrived later at 11pm. One very dark night!@@mandyaugustin

@@voyager5832 That is too cool! How was the 10 mile Grand Portage? Did you plan to meet up with BeaV? They do some crazy routes eh? I've read about them on BWCA.com. Do they have any videos as well? I'm sure you made that solo tripper's trip btw!

Thye Grand Portage wasn't bad. It's 9 miles despite all the signs saying it's 8 1/2. There's a bunch of us that do the border route every year. We stay at the casino in Grand Portage and have a hospitality room to party in and swap stories. I'm signed up for 2024. This will be my 7th time doing it.@@DaneCordes

Even the squirrel was like “yeah it’s too hot. Just gonna chill on this branch here for a sec!” 😂
