I am from Australia and have just bought this EV. Your review is definitely the best review I have seen yet. Your attention to detail like the seating materials and how they feel is the sort of information not many others cover very well. Well done. My wife and I love this car and it ticks all the boxes for us.

We are the same, the Atto is a marvellous vehicle. When it comes to EVs, it absolutely sets a new mark in affordability and value. The only difference between the Atto and comparable Korean EVs is a charge rate of 80KW vs 180KW. Given the fast charge rate costs an additional $30,000, I am more than happy to have 80KW, particularly noting the fastest charge speeds are mostly only available between 30% and 80%. Outside this state of charge, there is little difference between very fast and just plain fast charging.

This is the most comprehensive auto review I have ever watched. Usually, I skip parts that do not interest me, but this video highlights all the things a common driver or potential car buyer is looking for. I'm impressed with how the video was presented. It is not too technical or focused on showing off the presenter's driving skills. Instead, it focuses on the important and less important features that one should consider when considering a vehicle. I am one step away from buying this vehicle. Additionally, knowing at least three high-ranking officers in charge of distributing BYD makes me more comfortable with owning one. From sales to after-sales, I feel confident that I am covered. Kudos to the presenter of this BYD Atto 3 review - I am now subscribed to your channel.

We have had the Atto for eighteen months. As regular drive it is an outstanding vehicle, comfortable, great range of accessories, absolutely reliable, very cheap to run and wonderful value. Am looking fwd to buy the atto 3 by the end of this year, and your review is invaluable. Just one question: If for your first trip your battery was at 100% and you consumed 8% while travelling 18 km, that’s makes 2.25 km for 1%. The expected range in this case is therefore 225 km not 480 km. What am I missing?🤔
@krytopi7 ай бұрын
Please correct me if I'm wrong but based on your consumption at 8% for 18kms your total range would only get you roughly 225kms on eco mode. Sounds like a lot of Kw consumed imo maybe because of traffic? idk.

I use a standard 240V 15A outlet to charge my Atto at home. This delivers 3KW AC charging. Overnight this delivers 30KWhr (about 240km). For my purposes this is more than adequate for daily use. I agree with this reviewer, this is an excellent vehicle. Affordable, very reliable and excellent features. I have had the Atto for fifteen months and a TM3 for two years. The Atto was about $12,000 less than the TM3. As a daily drive I much prefer the Atto.

Your report is true. Bear in mind many EV owners charge from home solar most of the time. My wife and I have stayed mainly at Airbnb in the past. A normal 240 volt extension cord overnight would top up fairly well. Airbnb is expensive so unless the agreement expressly excluded top up charging then it would be an option. Recently we rented a car on holiday, the Sixt rental company included free charging for a Tesla Model Y all over the Australian island state of Tasmania.
