I commend you for saying it straight. People of African heritage in America today (& the UK) need to move on from this long overdrawn out victim mentality. Too many people think that everyone is to blame other than their own thought processes. Thank you very much, Mr. Samuels.

That Kevin Samuels articulates and puts in proper perspective the mindset and attitude men must have with today's values. Knowing our place, and space as men. Men often take the cues and leads from women, placing too much value on women that are not standing firm on their own circle, because what men think they want from women. What should we as men connect with women about? What value does she add to him? Men must stand firm on their square and lead themselves, from position of strength.

These phone calls are slaying me! The maturity level with these young women is zero to none. Fellas, if you all fall into the traps of these games that these women play, then it's no fault but your own. Kevin is exposing these women and you don't have to go looking for them. They are doing the work by calling in...all by themselves. I pray that it gets better.

I stumbled on this video and I had to stop and pause because Kevin is so on point. I am a black female, divorce after 32 years of marriage, a grandmother, our sons are grown and settled with their families. I have to admit I agree with Kevin. A lot of women that have these kids out out of wedlock have not clue how to co-parent. It’s hard being the boss in your home and then having to partner with someone when you have been the head of household for so long. I hear women always state that a man cannot correct or chastise their child. 😳 Yet she will want that man to provide everything materialistically they want. Double standard. A man does need a women that believes in him that supports him and pushes him forward not take away from him. I don’t want a man with children under college age... why because my son’s are grown and I can give you 💯 of my attention so I expect the same. If I’m with a man with kids under college age you have to deal with those last minute “I forgot Kim had a recital that I have to attend” etc..

Ppl have to understand, men are instinctively and primarily providers and protecters, thats where their value and attractiveness lay... Where as women are primarily nurturers soft and soothing..their softness, beauty, and femininity is where their attractiveness lay... For every women that gold digs, there is a man that beauty digs... Accomplished women usually get all their opportunities from foundations and structures that men created...no matter how accomplished a woman is, if she doesn't have the beauty and sweet feminine ways in her character then she really is not much valued by men and society... If society broke down and became an anarchy, wild and uncivilized, then you would see the true nature of a man compared to the true nature of a woman..
@davidstewart48424 жыл бұрын
Its in a man"s nature to be generous and needed by his woman and children.. When you have a woman who is more accomplished than the man she lives with, there is usually a masculine air about those women... their man is usually prone to cheat on them with a woman who makes him feel needed

As an ethnic group, I've longed surmised that both brotha's and sistah's need to have a baseline conversation over what a real relationships and what goes into it should look like. I feel every since we've been in this country, we've been in fight and survival mode due to enslavement, jim crow, red lining, civil rights etc... and have not had the cultural hand downs that teach solid relationship skills. I feel this is the reason why we are typically at each other's throats. Other ethnic groups (white, asian, latin-x etc) have not gone through the same experiences as we have, thus they've been able to hang on to their relationship culture traditions much better
@JonnRamaer3 жыл бұрын
I agree with this so much. reference the videos/information of Joy De Gruy...Post Traumatic Slave Disorder or syndrome, I think. Its great for understanding why we are how we are. Of course Kevin stands on the point of: ok, that being what it was, how it was, we have to make decisions about how to improve from here and going forward. With an understanding of what happened and what is happening...we can properly remedy and restore and progress with a renewed re-culturation plan. It is difficult to copy-paste the functionality of other groups that have different dis-advantages than our own. This is not a victim stance, it's part of an exercise in group-self therapy. We have the strength to save ourselves. We need less intra-family war and more intra-family counselling. Peace, Amun-Ra.
