“Pranayama Breathing, deep breathing. Good for your lungs and respiratory system.” These are the first words you’ll hear in your Bikram Yoga class. For the first time, you’ll learn how to use your lungs. Standing up straight and breathing sounds simple enough, yet can be difficult to accomplish.
Like Michele says, Pranayama is complex, but not necessarily complicated. Common struggles are keeping the knuckles touching the chin, and the act of standing up straight with only the arms and head moving.
