A big black cat with a long tail (likely a puma) came within 20 meters of me and the wife while we walking near dusk in the Somerset countryside near Cheddar. We didn't get a photo either - the wife freaked out and we did a runner through a forest and out back to the farm we were staying at. Luckily it didn't follow us. Keep up the videos - always an entertaining watch.

Think it was Millersdale car park not milldale, different places but not too far apart, great walk, I’d recommend either the manifold valley with a stop in Wetton for a pint at the Royal Oak or walking from milldale through the valley to Ilam and the stepping stones. Plenty of places to park the van at night 😊

What a lovely video. Crackin' scenery, and isn't that what real walking is actually like? Getting lost, and going miles out of your way? You're right, James. Those of us who can no longer do these things (COPD for me, and MS for my missus) really and truly do appreciate these trips into the countryside. Many thanks.

“that cow just sneezed”, a very Attenborough comment, mi thinks? Was thinking of the wife and I getting a necklace but I don’t think ‘glandy’ would have the same ring to it? Maybe, you could start to offer ‘survival’ tips, for anyone getting off track?? The beastie could have been fox (some are dark) or possibly a boar (apparently in that area). There was a teen, some years ago who swore he (and friends) saw a black puma??? Nice to see the little vole. Great walk, keep taking the praise guys, you deserve it. Jamlen rules.

About 60 years ago we were travelling through The Peak District, four of us kids in the back, mum and dad in the front pointing out the boring stuff we should be enjoying through the window when I proudly pointed out that while mum was extolling the beauty of the scenery, we had just passed by a kangaroo and should immediately turn back. I got a thorough telling off for telling lies and despite my protestations we were not turning back. Years later I found out there was indeed a colony of wild Wallabies living in the area. Not apology from the mother of course.
