Damn, I didn't even know this existed. I pre ordered the game on steam and never realized they had a boxed version. Too bad, as an old school fan who grew up with the franchise I never really got to buy my own boxed versions. Ah well. If the patches have velcro you can use them for bags, clothing etc anything that has velcro on it. Most often used for "military" clothing, bags and stuff.

You get one of these cards with every purchase from Limited Run. They said they'd add some _extra_ ones in as compensation for the lateness, but only some people got those extra ones. Your Mammoth turret was the wrong way around, btw. The turret is turned towards the back. You see the hatch in the sloped part at the front.

I got mine and love it but I really think that soviet hat patch is inside out. Look at all the other patches on the hat and in the box, not one in the box has that crazy sticking. Its the back side of the patch or at least the back side of the outline either way I think it was made incorrectly.

The hat patch is not inside out. They just used heavy stitching around the star (and outer edges) to give it similar outline you can see pin. Personally I would have used thinner thread for that. Comparison: imgur.com/Rmtl04l The other emblems don't have similar detail in them and thus avoided this pitfall on the hat.

It's around 119 tracks, just about every single track from the original Tib Dawn and Red Alert + expansions including lost, rare and recently rediscovered tracks, in high fidelity. About 6 tracks (Heartbreak, Red Alert Intro Menu, Red Alert Map Select, Fogger, Snake, Awaiting) have been recreated from scratch using the original computers from the 90's as the originals in high quality have been lost, and these new versions sound great. Plus about 20 remixed tracks by Frank Klepacki & The Tiberian Sons. The physical disc was only in this collector's set, but you can listen to the full OST on sites like Spotify and iTunes Music. Sorry if I'm sounding like an advert, but this is my favourite game OST, check it out if you can!

Did you have any issues with any of the OST disks being unable to be found by your media player? Discs 1, 3,4,5 & 6 had their track listings all loaded fine but the 2nd C&C disc comes up blank. Similar for it on the USB drive.

It's interesting to note that this whole package doesn't even come with a game. Yeah if you buy it from LRG then you get sent a serial key but if you were to buy this from a 2nd hand source then you won't get a game even if the box is still shrink-wrapped. Unless the seller has a key to give you. So essentially you are paying for a box of C&C related merchandise.

I mean if it did come with the game inside rather than emailed to you, then you wouldn't have been able to play for the first few months after release without buying it twice, or if it hadn't been delayed you'd still have had to wait while it was shipped to you, rather than playing on day of release. If you want to buy one of these second-hand and don't already own the game, the game itself goes on sale on Steam pretty often for very little.

Oh, I already have it. I also ordered this edition. Mine came with card no.36 which I feel isn't as nice looking as no.35. And they gave me a dud mammoth tank because the turret is stuck and can't spin around. And the sticker on the laminated tech-tree is pulling the art of the card! :( Anyway, I just realised that every PC game has to be linked to some online account or another. Which means that even if it came with the game (CD/USB) and you resell it, the buyer would still need to buy a new key anyway. :( I have forgotten we really have moved passed the days when we can just swap games with friends and play it without needing a key. Maybe there's an upside to buying games on consoles after all.
