A proposal for The Forgotten and Cabal campaigns: The Forgotten campaign shows us a little before and a little after the GDI/Nod campaign main plot, along with portions of what they were doing through it. One crucial mission has the Forgotten commander decide to prioritize making a home on Earth over the prospect of stealing a Scrin mothership to take to the stars, choosing to preserve what they have over risking it all for the future. (A very GDI decision.) Forgotten efforts to cripple Scrin harvesting operations and strike where even Nod can't reach is a major focus of the campaign, including a crucial recon reveal to both of the groundside facilities supplying Tiberium to the Overlord's flagship. Ultimately this culminates in a final cinematic showing GDI and Nod remnants forced by another Liquid Tiberium explosion into turning to off-world colonies to house their populations while finally giving Earth to the Tiberium, and thus The Forgotten. The Cabal campaign instead shows us both Cabal's quest to define itself, and refusal of the Scrin AI's offer of unity with it to overthrow the Overlord. But this digital struggle between Tiberium software and biologically assisted lifeform has two key effects shown only here. Firstly, it explains the crippling of the uplinks between the Scrin Overlord's connection to key ground Tiberium stations that gives GDI and Nod their opening to strike at the Overlord directly. (Thus making Cabal/Legion a key part of the Scrin's downfall, unknown to them.) To overcome the struggle with the Scrin AI that claims to be puppeting their civilization, Cabal lets loose the fragment of Legion and with the destruction of the Overlord's flagship this proves to have consequences. It is shown that the 'Cabal' forces seen fighting to seize a Scrin mothership in the Forgotten campaign were actually breakaway Legion controlled forces. Legion, freed from Cabal's subjugation, is attempting to flee Earth and potentially reunite with Kane in the stars. The Forgotten forces on that mission let you seize the ship and leave. The final mission details Cabal's last hurrah as it seeks more biological processing equipment, overrunning remnant Nod forces, stubborn GDI defenses and their Forgotten allies before it's final destruction with a Liquid Tiberium explosion set by The Forgotten. It dies after justifying The Forgotten using their ultimate weapon that will ruin the Earth for GDI and Nod forever, as better to flee off world then let Cabal enslave them all. This would give both sides (and even a little mini-campaign to Legion in a sense.) their day in the Tiberian Sun, while giving some surprise reveals about what went on during the main GDI and Nod campaigns, while leaving the Scrin hypothetical intact. (Missions of said hypothetical could be thwarting a Forgotten Liquid Tiberium strike and Cabal fleeing off world in reference to these.) Plus, it both puts Cabal into it's grave while leaving open a less pure evil take on the faction for the future and explaining why future games might focus beyond Earth. While closing out The Forgotten by giving them their own home, so to speak.

It always struck me as weird that Nod treated the mutants like shit. I mean, weren't they making mutants of their own back in C&C Renegade? Didn't they see Tiberium mutation as a sort of holy rite?

I'd like to believe that elements of the Forgotten could have joined one side or the other. Maybe they wound up being allies of GDI, allowing themselves to be used as experiments to one day find a cure for their ailment, or they got swept up in the Yellow Zone army of Nod, since Nod will spread the Tiberium glow that they've become oh-so-dependent on. After all, human beings that thrive on the crystal would be a propaganda win for Nod's teachings on Tiberium, that they can use it to guide human evolution. Like say, you can have the story of a Zone Raider who used to be a Tiberium mutant until GDI experiments cured her, and now she seeks to spread the same cleansing grace to a world infected by Tiberium. Or maybe, you can have the story of a fanatical member of the Black Hand whose body had mutated to grow stronger from Tiberium's influence, and he walks around the temples of Nod as a living vindication of their faith, that one day, mankind can grow stronger and more powerful thanks to the power of Tiberium, and he seeks to spread its grace to the world....

Kane and Nod keep growing in power despite its losses because GDI does everything wrong at the end of every Tiberium War. In the end of the First Tiberium War, the Brotherhood was shattered and divided. GDI should've rallied and used their greater numbers and forces to finish off the broken remnants of Nod one after another. Instead, they chose to let Nod remain divided while puppeteering one of the remnants through General Hasan. That backfired horribly when Hasan was overthrown by Anton Slavik, the leader of the Black Hand who reunified Nod, giving the revived Kane a unified force to work with. At the end of the Second Tiberium War, GDI found out from the Tacitus that you can use sonic weaponry to shatter and destroy Tiberium infestation. The right move would've been to draft the population of the world to work for GDI and produce as much of this sonic technology as possible, so they can flush the Tiberium infestation on the planet and cleanse the world as a whole, while putting as many people under GDI protection as possible. Instead, they used the sonic tech to cleanse the world at a snail's pace, while retreating to pristine Blue Zones free of Tiberium infestation. The rest of the world, having been abandoned by GDI, joined Nod in retaliation. Countries like the USA which used to be unquestioned GDI turf now had tons of Nod operators, agents, and militants causing trouble all over the place. In one mistake, GDI helped transform Nod from a regional power to a global superpower, since most of the world's population lived in the Yellow Zones now controlled by Nod. At the end of the Third Tiberium War, GDI's haphazard management of the Tacitus nearly caused it to be destroyed, which meant that Nod literally had to steal it from them in order to save this precious resource, and install it into an AI of Kane's design. They literally are so careless that the bad guys had to steal something precious from them in order to preserve it.

Just imagine, that some insane Tib fans, create an actual sequal to Tib Wars, and get Joseph Kucan to reprise his role as Kane. It wouldn't happen, because EA would sue them into the ground, but I get the sense Joseph Kucan would be the sort of guy who'd be game to give Kane a good send off he deserves. Especially as he pretends...a certain game doesn't exist.

"Land Of Nod" seems like such a WASTED OPPORTUNITY for a country for Nod. Or even a separate faction within Nod.

your version is not that good either but still vastly superior to what we got. at this point I only want a few things from command and conquer 4: different endings for major factions where they achieve total victory and dominion over earth, GDI and Nod settling things once and for all before or after the scrin are defeated (preferably before), Nod needs to acquire a lot, and I mean a LOT of alien technology in their campaign and the forgotten need to return in force. either joining one of the subfactions or being their own thing. I'd like them to finally be accepted by Nod, I always thought it was weird how they were hated by a tiberium worshipping faction.

So, I haven't played C&C 4, I don't intend to, I hear it's awful, but I don't know why, and I can think of no one better equipped to articulate exactly what caused C&C 4 to kill the whole franchise dead for a decade. If you're still making C&C videos, that one would be great.

Congratulations. In 23 minutes you layed out a better story than ea could develop. I do expect the series to revive at some point, trends come and go and old things never truely die, but I don't know if it will be in my lifetime so I thank you for what is essentially a satisfying ending. For the cabal and forgotten campaigns I would simply suggest having it be their side of the battle, with the forgotten commenting on GDI negotiations and activities while cabal steadily falls back under Kane's control and more and more missions align with Nod. Have the final battle against the scrin be a massive battle with Nod and cabal attacking one area and GDI and the forgotten in another area of the map they attack from, and have your mission as playing your faction and working with your ally to crush the invasion.

Stuff like this, is why I love the C&C games. Not just the tiberium games but also the red alert games

Seems like scrin from tiberium wars are mutated faction of alien race, like nod to humans, both are evilish and obsessed with tiberium. And race that sent tacitus are scrin too but not mutated by tiberium, like gdi. Like on scrin's planet their "nod" had won long ago. Kane is also much friendlier to scrin, calling them visitors and not invaders, and accepting their designs even on his clothes

This is a cool vid but canonically Tiberian Sun takes place 30 years or so after Dawn, with Kane having disappeared for multiple decades in between the wars. TD starts in the late 90s, this is supported by the TV shows and technology of the time.

I realize the endorsement of Tempest Rising is a bit personal but doesn't that game also have some AI? I remember playing the demo and feeling like the voice lines and some of the animation just seemed super off.
