And race that sent tacitus are scrin too but not mutated by tiberium, like gdi. Like on scrin's planet their "nod" had won long ago. Kane is also much friendlier to scrin, calling them visitors and not invaders, and accepting their designs even on his clothes

This is a cool vid but canonically Tiberian Sun takes place 30 years or so after Dawn, with Kane having disappeared for multiple decades in between the wars. TD starts in the late 90s, this is supported by the TV shows and technology of the time.

I realize the endorsement of Tempest Rising is a bit personal but doesn't that game also have some AI? I remember playing the demo and feeling like the voice lines and some of the animation just seemed super off.

I think that something interesting would be if Cabal had started to take either live or dead Scrin and start to make cyborgs out of them as well to keep towards the cyborg instead of robot vibes. Like could you imagine a mechanized Eradicator Hexapod for their epic unit or a mechanized Cultist for them to take over biological opponents?

I like your methodology for choosing sources of the lore, but I lean towards the start of the First Tiberium War being closer to the late '90s/early 2000s because in addition to the game's manual, the overall level of military technology (apart from the more sci-fi tech) is closer to then. Much of the GDI equipment, like the M113 APC and M60 Patton tank, would have been relatively old even then but still common enough in NATO arsenals at that time. More importantly, the political and economic systems of the countries in both theatres-especially in Central/Eastern Europe-of the main conflict would be too consolidated to be the types of battlefields they were in the game by 2019, whereas closer to the year 2000 they would have still been consolidating and feeling things out the absence of the Soviet Union like they were in real life.
