This makes me want a casual ranked mode. Playing around an objective without the penalty of failure would be really good for the fanbase. Obviously competitive ranked mode would still be there, but not everyone has the time and effort to play at their max. Would really help push forward the pickup and go nature of Splatoon, no?

Yea this game is honestly the only one I have in mind that has an issue with this, because on Smash ultimate you have the tournament mode or the arenas to just play around without having the power system in mind. And Mario kart honestly doesn't have a frustrating points system as there are no ranks. Here some ppl just want to play ranked for fun without the worry of ranking down in the nightmare inducing place called S+, but can't so they just play turf war. Turf war is quite fun at a casual/mid level, there is just no variety in the playstyle.

I've been saying this I love the ranked modes but I hate having to go in in fear I might lose my rank especially since I wanna try new weapons in ranked but I can't because everyone else is using their best weapons

@@unl3ash3d95 caring about ranks is overrated. even if you lose it, you'll get it back eventually. and if you worry too much about ranks, that typically makes you play worse anyway. also, if you want to play new weapons in ranked, i highly encourage it! i've been doing it for a while and i have to say learning weapons in ranked is so much more efficient and fun than in turf war. losing the first few games is practically a guarantee, but it's SOO rewarding when you go from 'low KA, getting KO'd often' to 'decent KA, fair share of wins and losses'.

@@KallMeQul yeah ur right EVERYTIME I play ranked it’s to get some high power level or something. But it’s not easy to just not care yk? However I did once try to use new weapons in my placements and I didn’t do too bad and most importantly I had fun. But still I care a little too much abt my X power and I do play a lot worse because of it sometimes

They should add competitive game modes to casual play, like maybe splat zones without the ranking. I feel like doing that would help the casual players not feel stressed into wanting ranks, or have smaller kids be able to play these without ruining their parents or sibling’s accounts 😂

Man, that first game reminded me of a league battle. While two of our teammates were holding down the rest of the enemy team at our base on Kelp Dome, myself and an aerospray (not my twin partner) managed to waltz right by their basket with 9 clams each. I pressed this way so the aerospray could throw me one. When they just wandered around, I threw one of mine to them. They proceeded to shoot the basket with their aerospray moments before the enemy team came back and took both of us out... Needless to say, we also lost that game.

For some reason Clam Blitz was the easiest rank for me after losing my data. I skipped from C- to B to A, and for the other ranks I can’t even skip from the B ranks. I used to be X in RM and S+ in all the other modes (idk about clams but maybe not).

hey chara, is there something to do if i cant change my matchmaking options for turf war? im level 43 but i keep getting paired up with levels 100+. on top of that, they are extremely skilled and have gear combos. it is really annoying and all i want to do is enjoy the game but i cant becaude of this. is there anything i can do?
