In the early 1990s we rebuilt a number of the D7Fs for the Army. The one you have has had a new engine installed. All the ones we rebuilt got DI engines . The rest of the tractor got a bearing and reseal, plus any parts that were worn. Many of them were very low hour machines.

Well, if the army is anything, like the navy, they use Apoxsee paint, and they go by a very strict meal gauge thickness. They make sure he sandblasted first.

I’m not a diesel mechanic, but I have a new starting to watch a lot of diesel mechanics. I’ve been following diesel creek for a few years and I found you guys the other day and I have been almost binge watching you guys are easy to watch. I think Kevin needs a little help lol but seems like you guys really know what you’re talking about and that’s good, it’s good for business to you. Great video! Kevin, hats off to you when you pocked your hand through the hatch. I thought it was a rat! I though a mouse popped out when you were trying to get the oil drain plate out, but it was a clump of dirt. I cringed, then laughed. Good to see Mr. Dirt Perfect! 46 hours over 17 years is pretty incredible. That’s only 2.7 hours a year. I bought my zero turn this year and have 57 hours on it right now. They must have only started it and moved it out of there way or used it to push or pull some other equipment out based on the gouges in the blade.

Looks like this is gonna be a fun series to watch the shennangans going on at C&C equipment getting this dozer ready to sell to some unsuspecting customer. No, really that customer will be getting a dozer he'll be able to rely on after it's done. Really nice to see your special guest was Mike from Dirt Perfect. That guy sure seems to get around. He was just down in North Carolina working on Chris Letsdig18's haul truck they tore apart then discovered the chinese knock off parts were useless then back home he went with the wheels off hubs apart waiting on the correct parts.

40:40 haven’t seen a blade with build in rippers. So you just unbolt and lower to rip. That’s a neat idea when you have a winch on and can’t have a rear ripper.

I pour my old motor oil all over the the dry ed up components let set take desiel in the crank case on the gas engine shoot transmission fluid down in. The spark plugs holes it most time loosen everything up lol it's a mess but usually work s

Here is a little story. In the summer of 1974, I was Plt Ldr, Earthmoving Platoon, D Co., 389th Engr Bn (Combat) (Heavy). My Plt Sgt let me run a D7 dozer which was at least a little similar to this one as a push cat for 290M tractors pulling scraper pans. I was having a good time for about a half hour when officers from Bn Hqs showed up and pulled me off the machine. Not officer work. Thanks for the memories and the video.

As a former 63B in the army in 1980 to 84 the training was not the best when at FT Benning I had to do my MOS testing I scored the highest on the post it was ether 83 or 90 cant remember but everyone elses scored no better than 65 that is what you are dealing with on military equipment just passing grade for the most partso it is no surprise to me what you find on thees
