Yes I intend to make a video. The car isn’t currently registered. So I need to sort that out first.

Is that timing belt travel normal on the dyno video? Since I've cut up my timing cover I've noticed mine travels "back and forth" on the timing gear as well.
@JarrodWillemse2 жыл бұрын
There isn’t any movement. The video is distorted from compression. You can see everything moved when the camera moves. Just make sure your crank pulley is done up and pulled all the way on. Make sure you have the washers either side of the belt to make sure it is guided on. Don’t over tension the belt so it squeals.

@@JarrodWillemse yup i've done all the above, I'm running oem camgears btw thats why I'm concerned a bit. I've never had an issue since the rebuild and it was probably "dancing" since day one I just haven't noticed until cutting up the timing cover.

How do you like the extreme light weight flywheel compared to stock flywheel?
@JarrodWillemse2 жыл бұрын
It definitely feels more responsive and revs up quicker but there is an annoying harmonic on decel. I had my engine balanced with that flywheel but it’s still there. I have the same one on my sr20 and it does the same thing.

@@JarrodWillemse thanks mate, handy info. I’m building and balancing engine at the moment I have purchased the same flywheel but having second thoughts about using it, my clutch guy advised against using it also.

@@sr0151 it feels amazing to drive but its anoying when you just cruising and use engine braking. It is anoying if you have AC as the car is really boggy taking off. Neeed to take off like 2-2.5k rpm.
