Perfection. It has atmosphere, character and huge energy. The owner's life and personality are shown off so wonderfully. It's that perfect combination of incredibly warm and friendly whilst being theatrical and imposing too. It's hard to do and hard to find, also. But I know it when I encounter it. I love the high drama and grandness mixed with that feeling of never wanting to leave because you feel so cosy and at peace. Deeply impressive and just a pleasure to behold, every time. Martina's home is a perfect example of what I'm talking about on a slightly less 'stately' scale. Beautiful, such intelligent curation and such friendliness too. Balance of textiles, proportions and colour all working with light, both natural and artificial (criminally underestimated and overlooked element of house design and decoration; lighting's effect on atmosphere). Thank you for this charming, inspiring upload.
