Tried it. Really good idea for breakfast, especially for children, who don't eat vegetables. But, some tips: after flipping first time, reduce the heat to minimum, add the egg, cover the lid and cook for a while to be sure that the egg is almost ready, and only then cover it with the cheese. And if you use the lid, forget about this crunchy top))) still, strongly recommend this breakfast idea.

Looks yummy and easy to make. I've 2 questions. 1. What could be the substitute for ham? 2. Why did you wash the cabbage? I always cook cabbage without washing the cut pieces.
@HenryIVth7 ай бұрын
I've never washed cabbage, googling why someone would wash is the fact that it could have insects or dirt inside. Which I've never seen in the inner layers, but if someone wants to be extra sure, it can't hurt.

If you’re a vegetarian a substitute for the salty tasty flavor of ham could be caramelized onion. Or cooked mushroom would be great. Sun dried tomato, if you like that.

I am sitting here eating my cabbage, salad greens, onions & cheese omelette, topped with salsa. I turned on YT & this video was one of the suggestions, good vibes! Your dish looked yummy. I go thru phases of eating cabbage in or with everything. On New years day we have cooked cabbage & top it with the velveeta cheese dip. When I make any kind of vegetable soup I will add cabbage to it. Lately I have been eating mixed greens & cabbage salads, I also add the dried fruit & nuts from trail mix to it. I still want to know what that black utensil is that you use.

Substitute cornflour for potato starch in Britain. You will say to yourself "posh bubble and squeak" but the cheese on the egg is sublime, definitely worth having a go at. Filing breakfast and it feels so healthy as well. It doesn't need a side salad though, don't bother with that 😊
