There are so many cabbage roll recipes everywhere, but I keep coming back to this one! You don't have to use the oven, and Oma makes it simple! Plus, I love sauerkraut and no one else seems to care about it!:)

Elizabeth Elliott - do you have any idea what's in the glass jar on the table next to the V8 juice? Do you have the recipe written down? It was hard to write everything down and how much of the ingredients. Thank you so much for any help.
@elizabethelliott31754 жыл бұрын
@@denisekeary8229 I realise you left this comment some time ago, but she uses "Maggi", which you can get in the store. I use Worcestershire sauce instead, and it works wonderfully! I made these again today!:) I just watched what she did and did the same thing (kept freezing the video), except I used toothpicks to keep the cabbage leaves together.

I succeeded with the chicken paprikash about a year ago. Recently I gave it another try. Made a couple batches the second turned out much better. Then I noticed this video. Made it the plan of the day to make your cabbage rolls. They were fantastic yesterday and today after taking them out of the fridge they tasted even better. It occurred to me while eating tonight that this recipe came from someone's family far away and long ago and now I have it for life. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and tradition. One more notch on the belt. Will be making many batches in the near future. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year West Toronto

Oma, I'm making these all the time now! I have even started cooking them in my electric pressure cooker (an Instant Pot) and it only takes 18 minutes under high pressure. My daughter stays away from gluten so I've been thickening the sauce w/potato starch and it comes out nice and glossy and thick. The last time I made them I added just a touch of brown sugar to the sauce and thought that was a good addition. I hope you are well and cooking up a storm. Love, Jenn.
